Twas only a baby, about the size of a corgi maybe, though shorter. There are a lot in the hills round here, we see the hunters going up with their dogs .apple_muncher wrote: »Is wild boar edible? Hope you were in a vehicle when you saw it...
Very edible. Much darker than pork, a big gamey, more like steak and makes lovely sausages :T.
Yes we were in the car, hence it was 'oh, a wild boar' rather than 'OOOOOHHHHHH A WILD BOAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' :rotfl:. We did once come across the remnants of a goat's leg in the campo .
Currently sheltering under the overhang out front as it is RAINING - much needed but needs to get a grip and do it properly.

Sorry to hear it is raining...
We have lovely sunshine here...and no javali, just cows that stare at you with 'that' look. OR is that just me...?

. But I think jabali have the same look as cows - don't intend to hang about to find out though should the occasion arise :rotfl:.

However they spell their name, I still wouldn't like to meet one face to face! Not keen on cows either - big beasties.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

I hopped over a stile one time and ran over a little hillock, came face to face with 3 heifers ... I startled them, basically, and they charged. I hopped right back over the stile, let me tell you2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Oh dear, not much to report as I seem to mainly be having siestas :rotfl:
House purchase stalled, we appear to be crazy foreign buyers insisting on knowing garage conversion, kitchen extension and sun room are legal  We've seriously considered pulling out but had a good chat and both agree that best chance we have of not killing each other is to move to a bigger place. The place we are buying is not perfect but to get that woud be around another €150k......... Trying to forget about the place I spotted in estate agents window today
Managed another NSD at weekend so that's two in a week - obviously on a roll
Nature Notes:
Sitting outside and it's very warm (28 ) so we have oscillating fan on. Sounds like a kitten miaowing at one end :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Fingers crossed that the crazy foreign lawyers start to take you seriously....Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Hi Gally Girl
I am on holiday in America and keep thinking of you as we have a tumble drier with a light in it in the house we are renting ....just cannot find the smilie......
I never realised how useful they were.
How is the house purchase going?0 -
I have greatly enjoyed the nature notes and am just sorry that nobody gave you the praise that you deserved for the use of the word 'murmuration', a close second to 'susurration' in terms of everyday utility
Were we or were we not promised a picture of Mr GG in a dress? Not such an event in Scotland to see a man in a skirt, but MFW expects and all that :rotfl:
Congratulations on your decision to buy a house, I had a sneaking suspicion that you would not stay in your apartment forever. I have abandoned direct criticism of BTL, but will ask you whether you have crunched the numbers sufficiently for hanging on to the apartment? I ask as parents have a couple of rentals in the sun and IFA relly is *very* critical of their suitability as an investment.
Lastly, thank you for the diagrams, I now have a new appreciation for fireplace possibilities :rotfl:0 -
Debs they truly are a thing of beauty and wonder are they not :rotfl:edinburgher wrote: »I have greatly enjoyed the nature notes and am just sorry that nobody gave you the praise that you deserved for the use of the word 'murmuration', a close second to 'susurration' in terms of everyday utility

Lastly, thank you for the diagrams, I now have a new appreciation for fireplace possibilities :rotfl:. The excruciating heat has ended :T but DD not happy as she is out here at the mo and we have had rain. Mr GG & I meanwhile having been dancing in the streets :rotfl:.
Pic of Mr GG may have to wait till next year - his 'skirt' pic didn't turn out very well. He has worn a kilt on one oft remembered occasion :kisses2:.
House purchase stalled a bit but hopefully back on track. Looking forward to getting in and sorting it out :T. However Mr GG & I are popping back to the UK separately over the next month, still hoping we can complete before then. Unfortunately pound has dropped against euro quite a bit recently.
We are hanging onto apartment for now Ed, the numbers don't stack up whether we sell or keep to be honest. We will try to rent long term but if not will go for shorter term lets.
Am glad my architectural drawings pleased you. There are electric heaters in most rooms and we will see how we get on for now, we will probably be doing some knocking about next summer so that is the time to incorporate a fireplace. Have kept the plans to assist with the process :rotfl:.
