    Thanks GG for your advice! We are a long way off yet. We hope to build a small portfolio of rentals over here but would love a holiday let somewhere hot so we can escape there ourselves from time to time. I promise to do my research though :)

    Back to work tomorrow - face the music time :eek:. Feeling kind of funny, as handed in notice just before end of my last working day before holiday and haven't really thought about it since (in terms of giving up work anyway, obviously have been thinking about the move). Will be interesting to see if boss takes the opportunity to re-organise the dept. or just rearrange some deckchairs ;).

    Today's to do list:
    • Declutter one drawer (did a few last night :T)
    • Put away stuff from last night's declutter :o
    • Make list of things to do at lunchtime tomorrow. So far:
    * cheque to bank
    * books to CS1
    * clothes to CS2
    * visit CS3 to get donation bags
    * look for new nightie in sale
    • Buy new kettle :(
    • Fill up with diesel
    • Get car headlight changed
    • Pop in on DS
    • Get points put on Boots card
    • Pack up ebay sales. All selling are already bagged up. Sewing machine currently on £24 but 25 (:eek:) people watching so hopefully will go higher
    • Check and adjust meal plan for week, adding in inventory from freezer. Am eating down that freezer then selling it as the vultures haven't staked a claim :D
    So, with today's list I should probably get out of PJ's :rotfl:.

    I didn't know you had a house in Spain, whereabouts is it?

    As for the Winter in (Southern) Spain, that's the time of year I enjoy the most out there: not too hot, a variety of weathers other than "hot" and "sunny" but it's usually warm enough to enjoy sitting outside a caf! watching the world go by.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

    Well it's not Puerto Banus :rotfl:. Will PM you :).

    Funny old day at work. No progress on finding out when I'm leaving as boss wants to speak to his boss first, but he did say some very nice things about me :D.

    NSD, except for ebay postage :T.

    Going along with everyone else's theme, today I decluttered a bag of clothes, a bag of CD's and a bag of books, so 3/365 :). 8 ebay items posted (11/365) Tomorrow I will declutter a bag of confidential waste (12/365) and one of my friend's I thought I'd got rid of last year :o (13/365). (That would be her confidential waste, not my friend :rotfl:)

    It's very strange, as soon as you hand in your notice, the bosses start saying nice things about you. My theory is that they are trying to get you to stay.... But it didn't work in my case, and I having a strange feeling in won't work in your case either:rotfl:

    On the subject of Middle Eastern food - be still my beating heart. Really healthy, utterly beautiful, do you need the most mysterious ingredient "pomegranate molasses"? Now on sale in Waitrose! GG your year sounds really brilliant and it couldn't happen to a nicer woman. EBay looks to be really good, those sewing machines are good sellers as I know only too well from buying and selling.

    Got some last year from an 'fnik' store in North London - nom nom :) though tends to make the healthy food rather less healthy :eek:

    2 ebay sales but to same person so 18/365. 12 & 13 are still in car but they're out of the house so still counting them - my diary, my rules :rotfl:.

    Another bag of clothes in car for CS so 19/365.
