Horsham is medieval, thats absolutely wonderful. No swearing parrots tho, which is quite a disadvantage :rotfl:

Ah now you are talking, medieaval does it for me. In fact anything with a bit of history (other than rolling hills and seascapes) does it for me. When can I come? I can watch swearing parrots anywhere and although mine doesnt swear he does entertain me.

    Hi KC
re the dentist thing. Round here NHS dentists who are taking on new patients are very rare, but there is a limit to what they can charge, so generally they are cheaper than private. My sister however has a really good private dentist, who charges less than NHS for most things, its only cosmetic stuff he charges more for. As you say, more research needed.

Taxi, Willkinsons are great, my mum described them recently as having taken over from Woolworths, which I think is accurate if you remember Woolies before it lost its way.

:eek::eek: 15 years! I'm freaking slightly because I missed my 6 monthly appointment! Mind you, as adults, its really about de-scaling....

Sigh .... "should" being the operative word in that sentence .... this morning, I'm going to tackle it. I've been up for a while, I've been unpacking a knitted *thing* for the back of the sofa - oh, a throw! cept you can't throw it anywhere :rotfl:I'll put a pic on photobucket, I'm actually very proud of it :j And I unpacked the cushion covers made from old kilims - put the cheap little pads from Wilko in them, they're immediately much more comfortable than they were. I've done a couple of other jobs like that - no brains needed, just pottering, its nice.

Going to disappear into the bathroom and then tackle the router. Sigh ..... again .....

In that case, I'm out in the cold with Ellidee all the time :) I think about HP every time I say "pottering". After all, what else are they going to do in Gryffindor common room once they've finished their homework? :rotfl:

    Morning KC & all,

as to dentists - I would definitely investigate the costs of local private ones. My lovely dentist is private (& Spanish with a fab shoe collection - yes it helps :D) & a full check up is only £22. Not sure how this compares to NHS, but she is fantastic & never tries to do unnecessary work or flog me products.

I have Wilkinsons envy, when local Woolies went, half the shop was replaced with a Costa & the other half remains boarded up - lovely :rotfl:
