hope your lap top thursday has gone better than my thursday.
I'm still reeling from the fact that it is thursday, when did that happen? i'm sure it should just be tuesday!0 -
hope you managed to get your lovely lappie set up raring to go.0

I agree with LT, I think it should still be Tuesday :rotfl:
The laptop is up and installed, but getting a router to play has been impossible so far
I used one I had hanging around, because I couldn't find the installation disc for my existing one that works perfectly, then ended up ringing Virgin because *that* didn't work, and he said the one I'm using is plug and play
:o:o so once I've recovered from the trauma I'll try again. Because I'm still on the old one
:o:o I love new technology, but I'm **so** aware of installation hassles ....
The only thing thats really essential to do today is cancel Denplan - I'm really looking forward to rearranging my budget! All sorts of other things I can be doing usefully:
- get the laptop connected to the web
- reset heating
- go to next town to Wilkinsons - lampshade for standard lamp, cushion pads for living room, lidl for normal shopping, Waitrose for pesto.
- talk to the insurance people - they didn't get back to me yesterday.
- make dental appointment.
I may have to finish a chocolate bar I broke into last night, a leftover Christmas present

Darn it KC, I'm working from home today or I'd meet you for a mooch around Wilko's (or a coffee next door!). Have fun

Oh bother! Well, its something to know, that we could do that another time. I've just seen the clock - am definitely going to finish that chocolate **right now**
I'm too hungry to concentrate on the new laptop, actually
I eat so much compared to some people :rotfl: 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Is Waitrose pesto far superior to other brands? Love pasta and pesto

Hey KC well done on the laptop. Getting it onto the web is a small step now.
I really like Wilkinsons and it is one of the things that I miss about where I live now. No Wilkinsons within 100 miles!
I also really like pasta and pesto - not as much as mashed potatoes obviously but it is really nice. KC have you tried rice pasta (thinking about your intolerances) and if so how did you find it. I started eating that for a while and got quite used to it. Must see if I can find it again.
How is the detox going? I would recommend the Carol Vorderman detox book, it has lots of useful information in there including supplements to take and a 28 day meal planner with all of the recipes. There are some really tasty ways of eating no meat, dairy or wheat in there. No alcohol allowed but I used to cheat at the weekends and have a treat. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. you are doing well with setting the laptop up.
