Thanks for the pics Z - Dunstanborough Castle is one of our favorite places, it's a super walk from Craster to there with lots of rock pools.

Glad you had fun :) what an adventure, don't get too tired - and enjoy the sun!

RT - how I laughed at the purple cauliflower soup - my lot would be dripping it from a spoon and looking at me with their eyebrows up!

I think it sounds nice :)

Carrot top pesto - ? Interesting..................................

Waves to all - any luck with the bere flour kc?

:o:o:o Pippi, I'm really sorry, I haven't used any flour of any description - I should've experimented while I was on holibob, but I didn't get round to it :o Once my mum's gone, I'll go for it again.

    Lovely!

And I've managed to do my list for today - went to Sainsbo, and then swept the patio at the back, and the paving at the front. And filled a black bag with weeds.

Got to hop out to see a neighbour .... just found a note through my door, that the lovely 3 legged blind cat locally has been run over and killed :( I've often gone out last thing in the evening to stroke him :(

    See you tomorrow

Ah, poor pusscat. Hope that he is owned by somebody and gets a good send off.

    Evening,
saw your post on FB that you'd had a lovely time in 'that London'.
I've only ever watched HP1 (when its been on telly) and watched whichever one was on last night and thought it was awful, the acting was dire. Maybe they should have done it like Lord of the Rings and filmed it all at once, as some of them were far too old to be at school.

I'll go back to the books!

Unfortunately, all the books weren't written when they started. And they'd have been a bit too young to be playing 17 year olds...
I'll go back to the books!

I stopped after Order of the Phoenix. It was crap...

Oops! You're right, it wouldn't have worked.

In fact thinking about it, when did all the hype start? I remember getting the first book for my son, and they seemed to follow quite quickly afterwards. But then, the books themselves got heftier and heftier they got further in, so probably took longer to write.

I think the first real hype started with the Half-Blood Prince.

No, perversely, I think they were quicker to write. Obviously at that point she was well versed in hammering the words out, and I think this quote "I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter." -- BlaisePascal" is probably relevant.

Love it, but hate HP (or rather the hype of HP so I wont read/watch it) Only seen the first and thought it was rubbish

Sorry to all HP fans. :o

Oh dear! Now look! We can't have all this disapproval of Harry Potter on the thread of one of the biggest fans on mse :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: All I said is that the acting has recovered in HP 7/2 :j

Cheri, thanks, the pusscat that died was owned by the neighbour who signed the note ... I went round when I signed off here, and she was in but she had two teenage boys sitting on her doorstep who turned me away, so she was certainly being looked after. I'll pop a card in today.

And erm, what were you doing up at 4.30?

Today for me, my list says clean living room blind and window. I have one hour paid work, and there's emails and phone calls to be made.
