Thanks Pippi! When I trade, I'm a technical trader, with short trades that last half an hour or a couple of hours - today, for instance, clear as anything, my system signalled a trade on the ftse, which was a good signal (i.e. it gave a profit!!) - 30 points (£30, £60, £300, profit, depends on how big your stake is). Unless the system as a whole is in crisis, which it was with the whole Lehman Bros collapse, it honestly doesn't much matter. I don't trade on news or what they call volatility (panic, in either direction!!) so its kind of okay for me. Tho in bad times, I'd be panicking in the opposite direction, and staying out!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I live by the sea and a castle and the mountains sorry I will stop now
(must take some piccies) and I have discovered some blackberries at the back of the veg patch and had a munch yum yum - so life is good
Thought about you and trading when I heard the financial news

Please take piccies!
Blackberries - I meant to blog, I dashed out to pick some from my local tree - it is a tree, too, it took ten minutes to pick, a walk of one minute either way, and I weighed them when I got in - 200g, dead on (so my scale says, anyway). That costs about £2 in a supermarket.
Thanks for thinking of me! I'm still confident I can do the trading when I'm actually *focussing* on it, which I'm not right now. Speaking of which, time to put the beans in the slow cooker!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

The other bit of not-concentrating is what I've been doing all morning - checking out my trip to the local Big City :rotfl:(no one will answer my email about footpaths, grrr) and wondering what I can do tomorrow, since the weekend is not otherwise occupied - cue the free artpass, and I've ended up booking a daytrip to London (any train, hurray) will use artpass to go to the Courtauld Gallery, which is walking distance from a mainline terminal, then over to Marble Arch, where I've booked in to see HP 7/2 - that cost most of all - I *seriously* had qualms about paying it, and had to give myself a stern talking to about not saving money at the cost of *everything* else. My staycation was a lot more "stay" than "cation", apart from 2 local afternoons out, so I think I can sanction this - the train deal was good, £9.20 return, and one use of an Oystercard, so the mahoosive West End cinema ticket is just, well, hey ho, I'm alive!
And I'm finally finally going to gather up that grass!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
