    Morning KC

I don't know what the weathers like down your end of the country, but its a lot cooler here, and raining. Just as well you did your patio chairs yesterday. You seem to be doing a fair amount of paid work too at the moment.

    Hows the list doing?

:hello: we crossposted! Today's jobs will be okay, but I'll have to catch up on the single patio chair remaining. I'll have to take it easy tho, even typing on a lappie is really hurting right now....

    Morning!

I'm certainly only downloading free ones - that includes a couple of Jane Austen ones, and I *adore* Jane Austen. The others aren't such blockbusters for me, but it would certainly, erm, continue one's education :D

Do you have a Kindle? Or is there some other way of reading them that I haven't quite caught on to?

The rain knows doesn't it.. you sort out patio chairs, and there it is! I gave the plants a good watering.. it rained. Typical!

Hope you have a good day keeping dry.

ps *whispers* not read any posts about trading recently, how's it going?

I shook the sofa throw before I washed it, and was fairly soaked, hey ho - at least you dry off quick in this heat!

    Thank you :kisses3:

I'm not trying right now - trying to be much more realistic, and the race is on to improve the standard of living I can give myself, before my mum turns up in the middle of this month, plus they've "upgraded" the charting software, and I have to get used to it all over again, its really different - things like magnification and pulling out for an overview are *completely* different, its horrendous - and of course, I don't think its as good :o

I've been measuring and cutting some insect screening for a 2nd upstairs windo so I can have a little bit of through draft, but I need to take a break from the practical stuff, so a bit of finance chart practice is probably just what I need :)

Good news on the increased paid work. Is it because you are more relaxed about it all maybe? I find when I dont worry on things they seem to right themselves.

It has been raining here but is very warm. There is a smidgen of blue sky in the distance. No blackberries here yet :(

I doubt it, tbh - I haven't been really stressed about it - stressed about other things, but not that (the income, maybe, but not the actual hours, iyswim). But absolutely, when you don't worry about stuff, or you simply work through all the options and then leave it, stuff magically rights itself. The Universe knows, it definitely does.

Awww, Cheri! Hope you get some relief from the warmth soon - and some blackberries! Tho that combination of warmth and rain might really bring them on - I've noticed when blackberrying that lots of the trees and shrubs look really drought-stressed.

I've just had a phone call from my previous town about the complaint about the locum - I do get the sense that this isn't going to go well, there was a real sense of dozy middle class woman who works one day a week and has no idea of the real world, terrified of talking to someone who'd made a complaint and hardly hearing a word I said even about availability. "Oh you work, do you". Erm, yes!

Fortunately, I'm finding it funny, I'm not attached to the result any more.

Now that ^^^, Dear KC is one of the most perfectly powerful posts I have ever read.

I love it :D *steals it & runs*

We have lovely rain here too, my carrots & leeks will be so appreciative :T although there is a ready-charge hedgetrimmer here just yearning to leap into action ...

    Thanks Lula!

Battery hedgetrimmers are quite fun - I've used one at my mum's, tho never in the rain

    **worries**

    **decides to stop worrying**

I do have a certain amount of garden envy - my work on my garden isn't often of the planting variety, tho my herbs are slowly slowly getting into the ground :)

Definitely stop worrying - I meant that the hedgetrimming yearing was caused by NOT using it due to rain !

Must work more herbs into my ground - I've also cultivated ( quite by accident) some chocolate mint for you. Before going on holiday I cut down the mint & put the stems in a jar of water. When we came home it had all rooted :D.
