I agree that 2 or 3 things a day looks a lot better than one great long list. I do think it is a good idea to add some 'slippage time' in as well to account for unforeseen happenings or days when you CBA. Otherwise it can bring up all those old guilt feelings of 'must' get it done.

And don't forget to add the TADAs that you do which are not on your list.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

    Hmmmm - question...

can unforseen happenings be counted as 'TADAs'...

because ALL my list end up in 'slippage time' - especially at work!!!!!

White vinegar is a *marvellous* thing, I use it for loads of things, but not sure it was me that mentioned it. It makes a decent fabric conditioner too, surprisingly, and if you dry your stuff outside, you don't smell like a chippy!

Most things I plan to do in a day end up not happening, mainly 'cos I don't really do lists. And the TADA would be a list of craft stuff so not sure it counts - as its the craft stuff that stops me doing housework.

Such a nice cuppa tea :D I think the lesson to take from the posts on this topic is, don't bother stacking anything to iron, just put it all away immediately its dry :)

Looking at the state of the stack, lesson definately learnt!

Aargh, lost a post - who knew that lists could be so complicated, basically! I've done what I meant to do, tho not *all* the grass has been collected, thats liveable for now, and I've also got a ta-da!!! I spent half an hour or so tidying the kitchen/understairs area, creating lots more space.

The black kitten that now lives locally found me again :) and since I couldn't tip the old table on its side to form part of a bin for the clods of earth, the top of it is now just the right height for the kitten to use to peer into the chimney pots I brought along with me :) its a very cute sight!

You poor thing! But think of all the extra time/space you'll now have :j

Me being me, I *never* store things on the floor unless I'm practically in extremis - spiders love it, you see. Another reason not to have an ironing pile!

  • Definately!

Well this morning I folded up and put away what didn't need ironing, I didn't get away with all of it but a lot less in the ironing pile!

Now, did anyone find a decluttering spell :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

No decluttering spell, but there seems to have been a cleaning fairy arrived overnight as somehow the bin is full! Its usually the washing up bowl that fills itself overnight.
