    :eek::eek:Ironing???:eek::eek:

Yikes - the mention of it makes me shudder!

I'd run and hide under the sofa 'cept the vacuum didn't make it under there last time and it's a bit dusty!

I think my iron and ironing board were feeling neglected, as were the drawers and wardrobes that were bare, I just made sure I didn't look in the direction of the colourful himalaya's made up of our clothes and all was welll in the world :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you enjoyed your cuppa - I have just had proper tea, made with leaves! It feels so relaxing.

Such a nice cuppa tea :D I think the lesson to take from the posts on this topic is, don't bother stacking anything to iron, just put it all away immediately its dry :)

This was supposed to be done on Sunday:
    - vacuum the stairs.Monday.
    - clean the washbasin and loo.Sunday.
    - saw up shrub thats been cut down, for disposal.Sunday.
    - download photos.Found camera & downloaded, but need to check what some of them are.
    - cook beans - already a no-no on this one, I'll do a few portions of lentils instead.Sunday.
    - finish off using the woodfiller - need to do this in the living room as well.Sunday.
    - I did have a trip to Sainsbo on the list, but b&ggr that :pAs I say, b&ggr that :p

    - sweep the paved area at the front of the house Not done yet
And this is the only one not done from Sunday's list, so it can sit in glory on its own
    :)

    Monday
    - sort bin for grass clods in garden (this breaks down to about an hour's work).

    Tuesday
    - finish sorting bin for grass clods - not quite finished tonight.
    - pack away cut grass for disposal.
    Those are two half jobs.

    Wednesday
    - clean patio chairs and table.

    Thursday
    - vacuum bedroom floor *thoroughly*.
    - washing machine on - several times :) - secondary sheets, sofa throw,.

    Friday
    - tidy living room and kitchen
    - scanning.
    - pack cut grass away, weeding.

    Saturday
Nothing! I'll go nuts if I don't allow one day off :)

    Sunday.
    - not much, probably scanning and weeding, maybe even planting :)

    Monday
    - clean living room window, dust living room.

    Tuesday
    - wash bedding, make bed.

    Wednesday
    - not much, I have a rheumatology appointment as well as work - but I will clean the living room rug -
experiment with a proprietary cleaner on it too.

    Thursday
    - use proprietary cleaner?

    Friday
    - washing machine on - Ikea Poang chair and door curtain.
    - clean counselling room.

    Saturday
    - nothing!

    Sunday
    - tidy living room and kitchen.
    - bath and basins to sparkle :)

I feel a bit of an idiot writing it out in this detail, but as Tricia noticed, I think, I need not to overtire myself, and this is the only way to pace it. Of course, its all in addition to ordinary stuff and work and whatnot.

*definitely* stopping now. Sleep well all

You are right about your list, some of those things won't actually take long, but are just 'frogs'.

Are you doing these things purely because your mother is coming to stay? Could probably read something into that:p

Great idea to plan it all out - a couple of things a day doesn't look as scary as one big list!

Thanks! They're definitely frogs - you'd think I had a bucket of frogspawn somewhere, the way they keep cropping up.

:rotfl::o They're all things I want to do for me, but the timing is definitely because she's coming - no way would I pack this lot into a fortnight if not for her visit. And after the trouble we had in Norfolk with her dust allergy (we had to buy new bedding for her, and wash it every day) I can't afford to set her allergies off. Though I do have some allergy pills on me :o

It doesn't, does it! I really did it to make sure I wasn't being over optimistic in what I wanted to do; I still think I'm being a bit that way, but not too bad. And fortunately, I hadn't been thinking of doing anything before my sessions today. I'm starting work in about an hour, and I've been writing emails and whatnot for about an hour and a half already, and I'm not quite done yet. Fortunately, I'm finishing at 4.30 today, so even tho there's almost as much as yesterday, I've got a big chunk of time in the evening to do stuff. The stuff on the list is to finish sorting the bin for the grass clods, and packing away the cut grass, which will mean a nice shower afterwards, with the shower head I cleaned with white vinegar :j

I left it soaking too long, of course, and some of the plastic-chrome came off, but it works better :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

what a good idea Karma! - was this diluted or 'straight up' - our shower head is in a state and a good scrub with a brush only got it half way there - the area we live in has very very hard water and the limescale that accumulates is unbelievable!!!

It was straight up :D I think it was gilligansyle on here that told me - but, unbelievably, if you google it you come up with half a dozen youtube videos :rotfl:

I left it 3 days, and I *really* wouldn't advise that, what looks like copper is now peeking out from underneath the looks-like-chrome. Works like new tho :j
