  • Saw this on facebook...how true:

Did you know that those who appear to be really strong, really are the most sensitive. ..Did you know that those who spend all their time protecting others sometimes really need someone to protect them? Did you know that three of the hardest things to say are: I love you, I'm sorry and Help me!

I will lend you my BF as the amount of wind (note to self don't feed him mushy peas again) that is coming out his bottom will blow any rain clouds away. You will just have to sit downwind of him though

Hope the picnic was lovely :)

Hope the rain clouds stayed at bay no matter what technique used and that you had a lovely day.

  • We had a nice picnic, and Mum enjoyed showing off the dog to people on the ward...they let him in!!!

Unfortunately she thought the 'people/girls' had followed us and had got into the hospital, she was upset when I left, but strangely I felt she was in good hands...there is one nurse in particular that is absolutely fabulous with Mum, I could bring him home and adopt him as my brother!

We took a flask of tea, Mum drank hers, then pinched mine! She ate a sausage roll, cherries and a Turkish delight (ewwww)

I booked a holiday for me and my lovely understanding DH in December....we are going to need it by then.......have booked the cat in the cattery and dog in the [STRIKE]doggery [/STRIKE]kennels!

So glad they let the dog in. Mental health places are (quite rightly) more relaxed than normal hospitals about the potential for dogs to bring germs and more positive about the emotional benefit to patients of maintaining relationships with animals that they already know and love. :)

  • I have news...today I bought a dress.....a DRESS!!! for my brothers wedding, its quite girly, comes to just below the knee..hubby nearly fell off his perch when I tried it one for him!! Just need to find dreaded shoes to go with! The dress was the only one like it in the shop, was half price (£35) and my size...must have been fate!

I am going to take it to the hospital and show my Mum tomorrow..she will be so proud!!!:rotfl:

Saw Mum today (before I bought said dress!), she was calmer, but sad:( Had a good chat with one of the nurses on the ward and am hoping things will turn around soon:o.

Sounds like things are beginning to settle TPA so here's hoping :).

PS - maybe leave the dress for a day or so, or she may think the hallucinations have started again :rotfl:

Just kidding, you know we love you ;)

Erm tried to find it on the 'tintetnet but couldn't! Its black and white, with a fitted (ish) top half, rounded neck line bit pleated, coming out to a girly fuller skirt at the hips (which is good 'cause mine are ginormious!)which ends just below the knee:eek: I'm rubbish at the fashion talk......Now shoes.......hmmmm
