  • I did my first day of the shred last night! Thank you all so much for putting me on to this! I really struggle with my bingo wings so it's great to find something that actively exercises the arms! I'm far too much of a whimp to do weights at the gym, and aerobics classese are great for cardio, but not for arm toning.

Aching today - but that's a positive thing! Not sure if I'm going to measure myself & if I do I don't know if I'll post them here because I'm not really trying to lose weight or inches, just get my arms in shape for the dress!

It's great isn't it- really effective and so much easier to squish into your day than an hour long work out. Very hard work though!

It's defo a great workout on the arms :) I don't think you can really measure your goal, as it's more of a toning/visual change than weightloss. I'm the same- I want to tone up, mainly arms, bum and legs, so I'm not weighing or measuring myself either. When is your wedding?

Good luck with your day 2- I found that I was very achey and sore for the first 2 days. Day 3 was a little better, and today is my day 4 on level one. I'm not in pain any more and can get up and down the stairs without having to bum shuffle :o:rotfl: Legs are feeling a bit tired but that is nothing that a long soak in a hot bath tonight won't fix :) So stay with it, it does get easier :j

  • Well, I can't do it today - so day 2 will be tomorrow! Not a great start I know - but it's just bad planning. Considering trying to do it in the mornings before work - so over the weekend I will do it in the morning. It would have been too much to do it this morning after doing it 12hrs before! However, I always struggle to crawl out of bed & get up late, so not sure if I'll be able to motivate myself to get up earlier to work out!

Wedding is 27th August - so just under 3 months. My dress should be here for my first fitting soon :j

Hi spoonymoose, welcome to the shred club!

The dvd is a 22ish minute workout that you are meant to do once every day.
There are 3 levels, and it is designed that you do ten days of level one and then progress to ten days of level two, and then ten days of level three. Each level gets a little harder.

Each workout is split into a 2 min warm up, and then 3 x 6 minute circuits. These circuits consist of 3 mins of strength, 2 mins of cardio, and 1 min of abs. There is then a 2 min cool down and stretch at the end.

It is pretty high intensity but it works and delivers results. We are all here to motivate you, let us know when your copy arrives and we will chivy you on to get started :D

I'm the same, I do it first thing in the morning. It is hard to get out of bed half an hour early each day but I've found once I get into the routine then I'm fine with it.

Doping day 2 tomorrow is fine, just stick with it and don't give up :)
Ooooh your wedding is almost exactly one year before mine- fab time of year if I do say so myself. :D

I'm a bit late now, but good luck anyway :o
How are you finding it? Hopefully day 4 tomorrow should be significantly easier :D (or much less achey at the very least lol)
