I got off my bum and did it!! I followed Natalie all the way this time and did every repetition - even then killer stomach ones at the end. :T
Definately worked harder today than yesterday. Am expecting to ache a little more tomorrow morning
Depending on how the aching goes, I might try level 2 tomorrow.
I like it that it seems to be over quite quickly. I was really shocked when I was on the last bit of strength on section 3 and she says last bit of strength. Helped keep me going :jMarried my lobster in July 2011

Very impressed you gave it a second go
It is just too tempting to sit on the sofa and eat crisps instead- or os that just me
:rotfl:
I guess you're used to longer exercise sessions with zumba- over an hour long class you have much longer to build up a sweat than these 20 min sessions. You could alway do level one, two and three back to back if you get really good at it
Bless you weighing your weights! I think if level one is not pushing you then you should go onto level two. I'm interested to see what you think of level two, as I felt it was quite a big jump and found there were a lot of moves I really struggled with. I want to know if it's just me of it is actually quite challenging!
Have you tried zumba dvds? They may be more enjoyable for you. Thanks so much for that link. Unfortunately classes during the day are not do-ableI only get a max of an hour for lunch, and sometimes I have to work straight through. I wouldn't have time to get to the class, get changed, and then shower and changed afterwards. In the evenings, my bf needs the car for work, so I am pretty limited to which locations I can easily get to on public transport/ bike. I also finish work at various times depending on how busy we are so it is difficult to plan ahead and book classes. Plus they get expensive. I am tempted to try a zumba dvd though, a bit of variety would be good and so many people have said it is great fun

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Level 2 is HARD!! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Much more out of breathness, sweat and not being able to do all the repetitions!!
I did manage most of them tho which I was very pleased with myself about. Am just hoping I will make it out of bed in the morning :rotfl:
I've only got 6 weeks til the wedding Tiara, so whilst its tempting to eat crisps instead of doing it, I'll only be cross at myself for not pushing myself during the last few weeks. Am already a bit cross with myself for putting on 3lbs last week, altho I have certainly gotten back in the zone since doing that so it was maybe the kick up the booty that I needed.
Haha, don't think theres any way in the world I will be doing level 1, 2 and 3 back to back!!!
I didn't buy any zumba dvd's no. I looked a while back, and they all seemed to come in sets of 4 or 7, and I think they started at £40  And I know how rubbish I am usually at actually doing dvd's at home, so I thought it would probably be a waste of money for me. My friend has bought it on the wii for about £20 I think, but I don't have a wii. We have a PS3 but I think we need a motion sensor or sommat to make it work?? Anyways, that all seemed a bit expensive too, and I wasn't convinced I would use that either.
Besides, I think its the actual class I like. My instructer is soooo enthusiastic and is sweating lots by the end of it too. Shes a bit crazy but in a lovely way. She makes me laugh through the class, and really pushed us all. Shes like a personal trainer and makes sure we get our knees up and squat low, and work harder. So I think her enthusiasm completely rubs off on me and I come back from class full of energy (but tired too if you get me?! :rotfl:)
Which moves did you struggle with on level 2? Are you still on that level?
Hows everyone else doing and what level is everyone else on?Married my lobster in July 2011

I've done my shredding for the day :A
Did level 2 again, and it was slightly easier than yesterday, so I am pleased with that.
Theres a couple of the strength exercises that I can't manage all the repetitions on yet. Particularly that shoulder press on where you kick your leg up at the same time. The should press is just a killer. I clearly need to work on those shoulder muscles!!
I also struggle with the squat thrusts, and kind of swap between doing them properly and Anita's half method. And the plank jacks, well i tried for the first set, and ended up following Anita, but in the second set I just did star jumps instead cos it was killing me :rotfl:
Still pleased that I have done 4 days in a row tho and am happy to keep going with it. Think its helping having you guys to report to...Married my lobster in July 2011

Hi guys, lol I've been reading this thread for a little while telling myself I should get back into the shred (I did get up as far as level 3 - although some of the exercises from Level 1 & 2 still killed - like the side squat & arm raises - what is that all about!?!)
Anyway I'm just writing to say that iTunes has a few exercise DVDs on now. Some of them you have to buy in full but others, like Davinas, you can buy a chapter at a time. I've bought her arm fit one for £2.99 (I think). Great thing is I won't have a scratched DVD that no longer plays in a years time, (lol I really should look after my DVDs better), and with it being on my laptop in theory I could do them anywhere.... lol
Good luck with your shredding!!
x
Lupy, when you try the DVD again be sure to watch the position of your knees carefully. Like when doing squats/lunges make sure they don't go over your ankles. x0 -
Well just a quick update, still feeling a little anxious about trying dvd just yet. have decided to use wii-fit for a few days until I feel fully back to normal. Thanks for the tip Mrsdrink, I think because it pushes you so quickly, I find it hard just to keep up. Will have to watch my movement carefully.
Good news however, I have lost 2lb since I got weighed last time woohoo. May not be much but its a little bit more to add to my total.Clixsense since 31.01.16 $122.13 Neo bux since 31.01.16 400 RR $1018.00

Well after 5 days off, I've managed another session but is that me back at Day 1 or Day 4? Anyhow it definitely getting easier and the weight is still coming off. Have now lost 11lbs (need to update signature)! Another stone and might even start dress shopping.
Luppyloo sorry to hear about the cramp. Oh and I've just read your castle thread. Wow and well done you. Sounds like it will be amazingMarried 29th Feb 2012 :beer:Determined to lose lbs and save £'s30 day shred started 4th June 2012 - Days completed 15 :eek:0 -

Hiya,
I've done 6 out of the last 7 days and am very proud of myself :j
Well done on the weight loss lupyloo :T I think you should just listen to your body, and maybe not push it so hard when you do retry it. Better to take it slow n steady and be able to do it the next day too instead of hitting it hard and being laid up for a few days...
Have done my double zumba *as well as* shredding today, so am feeling shattered now!! Weigh in day tomorrow tho - hope its all worth it :rotfl:Married my lobster in July 2011
