Hi love finally back on the tinternet and looking forward to Sat.
How MSE can we be lunchwise? Wetherspoons is springing to mind :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Less on food, more on booze/cupcakes could be a plan!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Haha to Weatherspoons - not that MSE anymore, about £6 per main course - gone are the days of £2.99 meals!
How about Pizza Express? I have £30 of vouchers so we would just have to pay for our booze....
There's one on North Bridge which is a small stagger away from one of my favourite cocktail emporiums0 -

Morning!
Bingo was rubbish last night - we won nothing and barely came close! That being said, it was really busy so there were more people there than the last time we went which may have had something to do with our rotten luck....
Moneywise, things are going ok...
PAD/Spends - £76.11
Entertainment - £17.84 (This will all be gone after Souk visits I suspect!)
Groceries - £67.27
ISA - £914.51
VSP - £250.17
I also have £134 in an account to pay off the credit card for the month and to pay for the insurance for Scraps. There's £44 outstanding on the card, so that's £90 for the insurance. All of that has come from PADding as well which is good.
We got our renewal letter through and they're offering another year's insurance for £299 which is £100 cheaper than the quick quotes I got the other day. That gives me a fun night of car insurance quotes this week to see if I can reduce it. There are a couple of errors in the information they sent us though so we need to call and make sure that's not going to push up the price.
I've made a little money this month too:
Ebay profit (so far - still waiting for one person to pay and have to pay my Ebay fees) £24.50
Cardmaking £10 and I'm making another card tonight for someone from work.
Quidco isn't looking too bad, although I've had most of my big payments for the year. I was asked to buy a birthday present for someone at work recently so bought it from Ortak and have £7.50 cashback tracking from that as well as £2.50 from some flowers for another birthday. It's all coming together nicely!

Morning all,
Regular readers might remember that we got a nice cheque from Mr Fresian's parents for Christmas. Last night we got told that we can finally cash it :j This means that in just over a week, Mr Fresian will be debt-free and we can really start shopping for holidays.
Bein a sensible MSE person, I immediately started looking at how we could spend the whole amount, and was looking at safari holidays when himself became the Voice of Reason. He thinks we should go somewhere for a week which is (relatively) inexpensive and we can use whatever is left as our spending money. It means we're not stuck on holiday somewhere amazing but unable to enjoy it due to lack of cash. The man has a point...
So, we're back to looking in mainland Europe (so long Borneo...!) and I'm trying to angle for Florence. I've always wanted to go thereWe're probably not going until late this year or early next year but I'm having fun looking. If I book through Expedia I can get Quidco, 1000 Nectar points and pay for it with my Tesco card - MSE all the way
As the cheque is soon to be cashed, I can retrieve from it the £160 I spent on fixing my laptop, meaning I can add that to the car insurance fund. That should mean I have to pay less than £100 from my wages this month, freeing up that money to do something more fun.

Europe is soooooo expensive you may as well book an all inclusive somewhere. At least all food and booze is included yet somewhere in europe a cup of tea or coffee is at least £5, never mind the price of beer - and cocktails - well just forget it :eek:One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.
Total £9.120 -
