Not a lot to report here in Fresian Towers.

I've completely repaid the credit card in anticipation of the insurance bill being due. I'm now starting from zero again. One of the things that was still sitting on the card was the cost of the replacement parts for my laptop. We're not allowed to cash the cheque from Mr Fresian's parents yet, and that's going to cover that expense so I'll repay myself once the cheque is cashed.

The Ebay selling is still at the same level:

    17 items listed
    2 have bids (totalling £8.98)
    10 have watchers

I'm hoping to make at least £30 from Ebay this month to contribute to the car insurance payment, so cross your fingers for me :D
  • Beautiful cards!
One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.
    Total £9.12

Re the Olympics. I have swimming, diving, gymnastics, badminton and athletics on my list of possibles. I would really like to go to the opening ceremony too - but it is just too much money !!! This will show my age a bit, but I went to the opening of the Commonwealth Games in 1986 in Edinburgh and I really enjoyed it. I know the Olympics is in a different league but I am sure I would love it. Maybe the Opening Ceremony of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games is more realistic!!!

    Yup, website is here: http://www.glasgow2014.com/

If any of my pals/lurkers are Catholic, could you have a wee look on my blog and let me know if you think that the card there might be good to give to a wee girl for her first reconciliation/confession? As someone who is entirely non-religious I've struggled with this one...!

Cute, but not religious significance therewithin. I must admit, though, it's hard to know what to put. Perhaps just write 'Congratulations on Making Your First Confession' or the like somewhere on it, or as the line in the middle on the inside?

It's a strange thing to make a card for. Perhaps she could be holding some Rosary beads so that she looks like she's saying a decade of the Rosary? (Traditional penance. ;))

I was going to put some bible verse on the inside of it....the reason my friend asked me to have a go is that she didn't like how "holy" the cards she could buy online were :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I like the rosary idea - I have some small sparkles I could use to do that with as well :D

Not being religious myself, but I think the card is perfect.
Girly enough for a 7 year old and with the image there is enough meaning to it. (If you get what I mean!)
