I make all my own bread. Well...I get the machine to do it for me
Like you, I much prefer wholemeal or granary loaves but I find that my machine makes wholemeal bricks. Honestly - they weigh much more than their size should allow!
Much trial and error later, I've found that half granary and half strong white flour makes a lovely, light bread. Bear it in mind if your borrowed machine should turn out to do the same0 -
Lamp looks fab.
Hope it works.

Just finished my last card for an order (for a while at least!) I should get the money for this and the other one I have made to order tomorrow, so that's another wee bit in the kitty and a very happy friend who is receiving them
They're on my blog if anyone's keen to have a look.

Morning all, doesn't Monday come around quickly...?!
I'm refreshed after my long weekend, which is just as well as I know I have a very busy week ahead of me. I have to nip to the shops after work too as I know I'm running low on many essentials thanks to trying to preserve the grocery budget for as long as possible :rotfl:
Money
PAD/Spends - £118
Entertainment - £41.20
Groceries - £138.28
ISA - £859.26
The car tax has been paid (BAH) so I'm £112 worse off, although it hasn't come off my account yet. I have £6 set aside for itso have £106 still to PAD. That's not too bad to be honest as there's no council tax this month so that will essentially cover it. Just the car to insure now  :rotfl:We have another two weeks until that's due though so plenty of time to look for reasonable quotes and to try and get some cashback on them.
Once the insurance is paid then I don't have to worry about the car until MOT time in August, so that's one less expense. I can also concentrate on building up my savings and less on overpaying the mortgage. Although it's a good habit to be in, I think there's a little too much to be done in the house for now to be overpaying large amounts each month. £10 here and there won't hurt though
Better get myself ready for work now. Have a good day all!

It's the end of the month! Here's where things stand for me...
The first column is my annual budget, the second is my budget to date and the third shows what I have spent. Here are my thoughts:
My entertainment budget for February is shameful!! I don't have as much planned this month though so hopefully I'll recover that deficit in March.
I'm incredibly annoyed to have exceeded the groceries budget by 17 flipping pence :rotfl:
The only reason that the anything else budget is sitting at £173 for the year is because I made money in February - selling cards and through Quidco. I'm still paying for having had to replace my iPod! I sold two more cards today though and will be getting the money for them tomorrow, so March starts as I want it to go on.
Not bad, but I will do better next month

We've got the Panasonic breadmaker and it's BRILLIANT! I would definitely recommend it as a Frugal Fresian purchase!
You sound like you are doing well with everything generally.
I was away for the weekend so I missed the free listing (boo!). It was a good weekend, though! Please call me 'Pickle'

1st of the month
My spreadsheet is nice and green again :rotfl:
Here's what's in my bank accounts:
PAD/Spends - £121.19
Entertainment - £31.14 (adjusted it so it matched what's left on the spreadsheet)
Groceries - £127.88
ISA - £879.51
VSP - £245.17 (This will vastly reduce after this weekend's Crafty Adventures
In addition to this, myself and my friend have now saved £1300 which is our going to the Olympics fund. We're going to start planning the events we want to go to this week and will hopefully be successful. I suspect that even £1300 won't get us very far in London, but we're looking forward to it nonetheless.
Better get ready for work I suppose (Bah!)

I've got a Panasonic that was given to me, downloaded the manual from their website. Have also found by trial and error that it doesn't pay to use cheap flour. For wholemeal type bread, I buy 'branded' flour, recently got some cheap as the bag was split.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
