Hi FF,
I don't normally visit your thread, but spotted this and just wondered have you got life insurance on your parents for the money they lent you. It just sounds like if anything happens you suddenly have to pay the loan money into the estate. OK nothing might happen, but that's what life insurance is about.0 -

I'm on the train now anyway on my way to Englandshire for the last time in a while as I start my new secondment on Monday. I'm going to miss the extra money bit I'm quite glad that I won't have travel to worry about for a while!
I didn't renew my cinema pass after all last night. After getting passport photos done and queuing for twenty minutes it turns out you can't renew the damn thing at the counter anymore. Instead you have to use a booth which is right at the front is the cinema and get your picture taken in front of anyone in the queue. I will do it at the weekend when its quieter instead.
Just a thought FF last time I checked 12 x 1 monthly passes were no dearer than a yearly pass would it not be better to buy monthly ones instead especially as there may be gaps between the monthly passes when you don't actually want to watch a film and therefore you can delay getting the next pass and thereby extend your money into another year

Ooh Ta for the offer of a cuppa :coffee: , 1 and a bit sugars please
*I'm trying to cut down from 2*
A new secondment sounds good Fresian - don't blame you not wanting the hassle of all the travel to bother about though.
beanie - Glad to help out a fellow MSE'r

Bad phrasing on my part possibly. When my parents depart this mortal coil, I understand that the will has been written so that myself and Brother Fresian get an equal share assigned, then he will get extra to the tune of the borrowed money. Does that make sense? He will get £50ish thousand more than me as that's what I borrowed from them for the flat.

Money
PAD/Spends - £100
Entertainment - £75.99
Groceries - £149.63
ISA Savings - £628.85
VSP Savings - £113.84
Purse - £67
I don't normally carry this much cash, but I have a night out tonight and am thinking about going to the farmer's market tomorrow morning so it makes sense to have cash for that. I will then transfer money back into the PAD account from the entertainment/groceries ones as appropriate.
Happy Fridays to all!

In good news, just checked my email and my old team have sent me an Amazon voucher for £22 (spot the office collection, hehe!) which means I can buy new headphones for the iPod as the Apple ones are mince. A good start to the weekend for me

Morning folks
As we're going to be asking Mr Fresian's sister to [strike]b*gger right off having stayed for months longer than intended[/strike] think about moving out, I'm trying to get my MSE head back on.
My new Nectar card arrived today so we're going to be getting all our fuel from the local Sainsbury's petrol station (it's the cheapest petrol station anyway) and once my laptop is working again I'm going to install the Nectar toolbar too. Any other tips for maximising this would be fab!
Mr Fresian's new phone is waiting to be picked up today (got the same cheap monthly plan and he has a shiny new phone so he's happy!) and I have already asked Mazuma to take the old one away, so that will be £39 cash for me + 75p Quidco which has tracked already. Quidco is sitting at:
£23.64 tracked
£91.47 validated
I'm pretty pleased with that, although their £5 annual fee is due off sometime soon. I've been trying to remember to do some of their free clicks on a daily basis too, so hopefully that will start to build up.
As I said yesterday, I got an Amazon voucher from my old team so I have bought myself new headphones (Woo!) and checked my wishlist and found that this was only £5.99I still have about £8 credit left from my giftcard so that should keep me in downloads for a couple of months too!
I'm heading to the farmers market shortly and also to Aldi as their asian sauces are on offer and very tasty indeed. Later plans include poking the freezer drawer with a butter knife to figure out why it won't open...

Hi Oh Crafty One :rotfl:
Please could you help?
I have found this and wondered if I can have some guidance on how to make it/make it better/nicer etc, obviously it will be a card and not a box.
I have been to a haberdashery place and ordered some red roses, should be here Tues.
I then went to the Stationers and got red glittery card, white glittery card and white card.
Obviously I need the ribbon which I can get from the haberdashery place but how will I make the top bit with the writing on?
Or anything else you think might help, I have a number of craft shops in the next town so should be able to get most things.
Thanks for any help you can give.
EE
P.S Good luck with telling Mr Fresian's sister [STRIKE]where to go [/STRIKE] about moving on :rotfl:0 -
