In gah news for the day my S & G scrunchie thingy has unravelled.Bah.
    Really liked it too.

Boots scrunchies are about £2 and a lot better quality. My S&G one from the last box died quite quickly too!

Enjoy your trip North.....and West a bit I assume?!

    North and West indeed :D

That's worth a shot then! I might have a wander to the bank today although I don't have a lot of time....

I'm trying to figure out my wages (and missing the days when we could view our payslips online!) as yesterday I was told they had made a mess of my additional monthly payment (responsibility allowance as I do a job a level above my normal paygrade) and I would be £250 gross worse off for that. I know I have 44ish hours of overtime this month - how I love bank holiday rate - which is around £500 before tax but I still have my suspicions that I've been paid too much. After putting my usual transfers away, I still had over £300 left - and that doesn't include having repaid the £125 for the work expenses that had me sitting overdrawn. Puzzling!

    Money post to come...

    Money

    PAD/Spends - £200
Entertainment - £81.54 (Includes money left from last months pay)
    Groceries - £158.54
    ISA Savings - £505.94
    VSP - £109.84

I also have another £100 put aside to cover our food/diesel on this trip North. I'm not including that in my frugalising as it came from an additional income source (my overtime)

My savings are going to be looking pretty good this month as (assuming my wages were right) I'm still due my missing £250 minus tax and have rent to come in of £300. I may well put the missing money towards the mortgage and feel the glow of my first overpayment :D

Decided to seize the day so have paid £100 into my mortgage. This has come from my interest-free overdraft and so when my missing payment hits my account it will be repaid. That stops me thinking better of it!

F_F, when you are making spag bol (or chilli) what is it you bulk it up with, lentils or oats? If it's lentils, do you cook them first?

Two handfuls of oats and two of red lentils, and I don't bother to soak them. Hope that helps!

Currently in the North visiting friends and family!! Got your PM but will have to wait until I'm back home (Tuesday night) before I can look at my stash and see if I have anything suitable. Hope that's ok :D

This always seems a pain, but apparently Apple introduced it because they were sending out replacements to people who had a fault, but the broken one was never getting returned, just fixed elsewhere and then sold on. As soon as they get the broken one back they reverse the transaction.

Another case of the majority suffering because of the thieving few.
