I STILL want to be mortgage free - 2011!

Ok so all my best laid plans didn't really work...didn't get picked for the focus group. Apparently 34 people applied for 8 jobs. One Poll has not put any surveys up for AGES and then RE will only give me stupid jobs I can't possibly do.
Sooooooooo it looks as though the petrol job is the only one I'm going to be doing for a while. Things should be a bit quieter at work this week...fingers crossed but still pretty busy. ANOTHER spend today £30 for the weeks shopping (did include a big box of washing powder though and some cleaning stuff). Then there will be petrol tomorrow and fingers crossed the rest will be NSD's.
I also got a call from the vets before to say I needed to collect the bloomin' insurance form that DH called about and they said they'd sent...they still had it!!! Grrr. And I have the dentist on Thursday. Boo.
I'm feeling a bit like I'm not doing enough at the minute to help with our finances...but then I can't think of anything else I can do either. Hmmm.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

with a job like teaching Id say just keeping on top of that is a fantastic achievement!! dont be too hard on yourself- most people only have 1 job and arent necessarily aware or able to OP so just remember how well you are doing to be what you are at the moment! I know sometimes I get discouraged on here if people seem to be paying loads off or nearing the end of the mortgage- but there arent enough hours in the day for loads of jobs and save winning the lottery and getting a nice lump sum to pay off I certainly wont be finishing anytime soon! :rotfl:0 -
Thanks honey. Well I've been a good girl and got the claim form for the pet insurance ready to send off...so that will be £420 coming back to us at some point.
That will go towards credit cards etc rather than the mortgage though. Boo.

Ok so, got up early this morning to do a MS...and just submitted report for it. Bagged those extra ones...yey! So it's busy busy now. Bad news is car tax is due and DH owes £124 in NI contributions. Boo.
So need to speak to DH to see if he wants me to sort it now or another day. A bit of good news for me. 30 kids opted to do Psychology. They limit the classes for options for between 17 - 23 as a rule. But apparently there is talk of having 2 class provided I agree to be the head of Psychology and one of the teachers in another dept who has a degree in psychology takes the other. I'll be in charge though!!
Interesting. I've got a meeting at somepoint this week...should be interesting! Fingers crossed.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Ok so busy day at work and the options process is completely up in the air...so scratch what I said last time about Psychology - that may now not be happening. I bloody hate this government...what they are doing to education, along with everything else is shocking!! Our kids are losing all their freedom of choice and being channelled down lines they are not suited to.
Anyway rant over...after work I did another MS, sorted out all the clean washing, put a wash on - which I shall hang out shortly. Made tea and took Belle for a big walk. I'm pooped now. YAWN.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Another busy day. Finished school early (I was free last lesson anyway) and went to the dentist. My teeth are looking good apparently...so I'm safe till July now! :j
Then I had to drive to the other side of town to buy Belle a new collar because she'd eaten the fastener on hers!! DoH! We have really bad freezing fog though so it was an interesting journey. Took Belle on a walk and then sorted out my washing. Not sure how to spend the rest of the evening. I'm tired though.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I'm also feeling at a bit of a loss with one of my trainees. I keep telling him what he needs to do and showing him different stratigies for doing it. However, despite making the right noises...when he gets in the room it's not happening. Argh!!
Worse thing is that there is two of them...and one is getting better and better. I'm trying to think about when I was training... It's bloomin' frustrating though.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Are they in danger of failing their practice? Could someone else in your department talk to them, or failing that get in touch with the uni as if they are likely to fail it is best to give more notice and have the uni involved in mentoring too.
Or, is it you expecting a lot as it is your 1st time? I have to say i was lucky as i always got fairly good ones. It can be hard if they are not listening.0
