Right, busy day. Doctors for asthma check and flu jab this morning, then school. Lessons were fine and dandy even though there was a fire drill right at the end of the day! :( It was a pain and then I had to teach Psychology as well! Boo. Anyhoo, all was well except I'm going to have to step in with our ITT students. They seem to have stalled in the progress they are making so I think I'm going to have to jump in!

Ended up taking Belle for a monster walk when I got home - she was a complete angel! Although she figured out that if she nuzzles my hand whilst walking I'll fuss her. So at one stage she was walking along with her nose pushed against me...it was really funny. She ain't daft. Did have a slight issue with her trying to walk backwards virtually for about a mile after some drunk guy had come up to us - I think she was checking he wasn't following us!

Anyway an easier night for me tonight...just going to mark a few odds and sods and then I'm giving up for the night. I'll put my tea on first and do my yougov survey whilst it cooks. :D I feel really confused being in on my own. DH has gone back to Wales but it's been ages since I've been on my own, feels really strange!

I managed a NSD today *YEY* miracles do happen! :D Anyhoo, with a bit of luck tomorrow will also be a NSD and I can have a happy bank account. I do need to get the details of DH about his credit card though so that I can pay it! Silly boy is going to end up getting charged otherwise.

Work is mental at the minute, I am just snowed under with stuff. It's not one thing I'm just busy all the time...it's nuts. Tomorrow I'm on duty, then form, then I should be free but I have a meeting (again), p2 I'm observing one of the ITT students with their tutor, then break duty before p3 teaching and being observed, meeting with ITT students tutor over lunch, then p4 teaching, p5 got a meeting with Assistant Head about becoming a PDL (head of year in old money). I'm not going to become one, but I want to make my interest and availability known! :D THEN, it's detentions. Phew! I'm sure it doesn't sound much but it's bloomin' knackering.

OOOh just realised that putting the bin out crosses something else off my list! Woo hoo! :D Right time to do something productive for half an hour and then I'm going to put my tea on. I really fancy beans on toast! Ha ha

I've also been a good girl. Although I've already applied for OCR examiner marking I've also applied for psychology examiner marking (but only done so tonight). So thats my attempt to make money tonight. Still nothing from the teacher that organises the in school tutoring either. Feeling a bit disheartened with all that.

I have painstakingly inputted loads of data into the KS3 database as well which I brought home in a bid to update it now we have more data. That was fun and not at all long winded and boring. Still it's done now. Phew!!

Feeling organised and not all at the same time. It's most bizzare. I feel stressed and yet have absolutely no reason to feel stressed in the slightest! Odd.

Heard back from AQA and my application has been officially logged. So I've tried my best. :D

Another mental busy day at work, ended up not having a break ALL day. I ate my lunch in about 2 minutes whilst running to get to my lesson. Then I was stuck in another meeting until gone 4.30!! I now have a really sore throat. I think I may be over doing it a bit. So going to do a little gentle planning tonight but nothing major. I shall CHILAX a bit I think....although I probably won't because I'm stupid. :rotfl: Nevermind.

Another no spend day though! Woo hoo!! :D

  • I used to have days like that. Crazy. Somehow you get it all done. I hope tomorrow is easier for you.

I don't know whether to see about exam marking again. I applied when you did last year and got accepted for AQA. Did you say you emailed someone again? I could do with the money definitely but just don't know if i can be bothered with doing it all every evening once the kids are in bed.

Saying that, i should probably do something as you can always say no when it is offered but not get it when it is too late.

Do you have a contact of someone to email, or could point me in the direction of it please.

This is who I contacted. examinerrecruitment@aqa.org.uk - if you have your examiner number from last year then add it into your email.

It's unlikely to calm down tomorrow...I teach a full day and I have to call parents at lunch...the same old same old. Double year 11 period 4 and 5 will finish me off no doubt! Still, I can sleep when I get home. :D

Busy weekend this weekend....hiting the refresh button waiting for the site to come back online. Ha ha

Oh I forgot to mention that I had a chat with the assistant head about the PDL role. I couldn't tell whether he was telling me to go for it or not! :rotfl: He said about me being ambitious and how I was demonstrating excellent leadership skills in my current position and that it was such a shame it was only temporary etc!! But then said about how he assumed that I was looking elsewhere and that it's good to have some staff turnover to bring in new ideas etc. Odd. But then he said don't let my not being in the job long put me off applying for promotion etc.

I'm so confused. I'll apply anyway - although it's not being advertised until Summer....but I won't hold my breath! If anyone has done that role and has any tips how I could prepare for it I'd be soooooooo grateful!

Right managed to pin down the d.head about the one to one tuition thing...they are just identifying pupils and then I'll be assigned one! So thanks gratefulforhelp...I wouldn't have gone for it without your encouragement. :)

I've also just finished most of my application for a more online based MS company...just waiting for an email back from a store so that I can get my final authorisation through. Then hopefully I can do some more online MS's...that would be so much easier for me...but I don't know how many jobs people normally get from them.

DH has also acquired another DJing job...so that's an extra £50 per week (for now - it may go up or stop depending on how the first few weeks go - they've never had a dj before). :D The downside is that he won't be home until Saturday in future. It sucks...we never bloomin see each other. Still, it's all money!

Also went to Mr S's on the way home and spent £32.50. I got an £8.99 bottle of wine for £4.49 except I had voucher for £4.50 and so I made a 1p profit on it technically! :D

mmmm. i'm guessing i might have lost that number unless it was on an email. DS2 likes shredding a lot and we've lost a few things. I'll add it to my list of things to do.

Thanks x Have a lovely relaxing weekend before another energetic week.

ETA - i can log onto my application form from last year which has and application reference number. I'll have another look but if i can't find anything else i'll email with this number.
