Right, have emailed the man at school about tutoring, emailed AQA about exam marking as requested last year (they were full)

You might get further putting an application in on examinerrecruitment.org.uk if you haven't already.

Oh just a though, if you do exam marking do they sort all the tax for you or is it something you have to do?? I just find the whole thing bloody confusing if I'm honest. It's done now though...phew.

They tax you at source, no faffing with tax :j

Thanks honey, I've done all that but they sent me a letter saying to email them direct with my ref number this year rather than filling in another form. I'm kinda hoping for OCR more anyway because thats the science we teach. The AQA is for Psychology which I teach after school now and is on the timetable from September next year. The deputy head said on Thursday (options evening) that I made a tremendus impression and now loads of people want to do it! :D Nice thing for me is that unlike other departments across school I was totally honest and even suggested other subjects ahead of mine! :T

Some news: DH has an extra nights work DJing tonight so shall be back from Wales. Also he spoke to his boss last night. Apparently he's talking of stopping his Sundays and putting him back on Saturdays - which would work out sooooooooo much better. It would also mean £115 more per week, and with him being a student at the minute most of his pay is tax free because he wouldn't earn very much over the tax allowance. This years will be totally tax free because he's nowhere near it on his current pay. He wants him to be a proper residence, hence the MASSIVE payrise. Nothing can be confirmed for 6 weeks...so fingers crossed. It sounds much more positive than when we though he was going to lose it totally anyway! :D

Anyhoo, DH also just called and he is thinking of giving up the rented house in Wales after summer and commuting. It's 2 hours each way in good traffic and I think he'll be exhausted. But it would save us a lot of money (he'd need his own car though) and he'd be home more. Not really sure what I think about that yet...need to have a think on it. I just worry he'd be taking on too much again, but then he can have a massive commute on buses to get to where he needs to be as it is. Hmmm...

Good news re your DH's work! :D

2 hrs is a fair bit of travelling, does your DH mind driving? Is he not able to get accomodation with mondaytofriday or spareroom or would that not work?
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

Well we have a rented cottage down there at the minute. But he leaves about 8, 8.30am and doesn't get back until 8 or later most nights. It takes him an hour or more on the buses to get to the place he does his field work. So he's saying that if he has to do that he'd rather drive and be doing it here where me and the pup are. Especially given the buses haven't turned up on a few occassions and he's been stood on a dark country lane in all weathers waiting up to an hour for the next one.

Once he gets into the final year if his field studies are complete I reckon he could probably reduce it down to 4 days per week and work from home a bit more. I don't know...it's him that wants to do it. Plus if he's doing Saturdays Djing we'll never get down there at weekends either. Confused.com!!

I wrote a letter to get my £66 back from a settled credit card account last night...this morning the money is in my account! Ha ha ha

His bus pass costs him £16 per week and train fare is £41 return. Where as it's only £15 in Diesel return. The rent on the cottage is £500, plus tv licence, electricity, oil and any other bills that go with it including water etc. So financially I guess it does make sense.

She's a Dogue De Bordeaux...she's erm - rather larger than that now. Probably about lab size and about 5 and a half stone. She's only just coming up for 9 months though so still very much a puppy. I do think DH has been slipping her some sleeping pills or something though because she's done nothing but sleep today. Crazy puppy she is.

Yeah I know what you mean....hubbies just aren't cuddlie monsters are they. My little puppy is being a pain in the bum right now because she's just finished her ice cube. Naughty puppy.

In other news....I've finished my resubmission of my failed assignment and it's uploading as I type. Fingers crossed I pass this time. Didn't understand the feedback so I hope I bloomin well get somewhere this time.
