    Mortgage-free Glee!
I kind of felt like a trainee again when i went back both times after mat leave as i was being supported by being asked to have an A4 lesson plan for every lesson, being watched all the time, and being told how to suck eggs on a regular basis by people who i had trained. Not a good time.

I agree i would not want to train again either. Too many hoops.

That is ridiculous, I completely agree - teachers need lots of support and this is not support!

Oohh, thanks Earthgirl I love that idea. I shall look at it on Monday. I'm going to mentor them separately now as well. For the first time I can give them different targets. Doing my form reports at the mo. Very bored.

Would you mind reporting your finding on here re 121 tuition. It's something I think I'd like to do too but not really sure how to go about ti.

Go on tda website and you can sign up. Not sure how long this "government" will fund it, though, twinklie I am so with you on how the government are doing, with this ebacbollix.

I have a trainee just started and she rocked up for the first lesson having promised to show me her plan first, saying she didn't know what she was doing and had put all her planning into her other lesson. I was not impressed.
Sometimes it can be hard when they just won't listen, and some never do.
We had one once who came in with belly and cleavage permanently on show, and we tried so many ways to say with great subtlety that she needed to cover up at least one end...took the sledgehammer approach in the end and she took to ironically wearing suits every day to make a point:rotfl:
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Right, form reports are done. Bought belle 30kgs of food. It was a massive discount at pets at home if you bought two 15kg bags...so we did. Wish I had some exam markin, but if I did i'd be snowed under so probably best I dont. LOL. Back home today...fingers crossed I can get myself a bit more organised this week. Wasn't very organised last week. Petrol mystery shop this evening. Yey.

  • Hello,

Re the trainees... most are great but you do get the odd one, ours had a pierced tongue and the kids were so fascinated by watching it as she spoke that they couldn't focus on the lesson. Since the credit crunch though, the standard has rocketed and most are very mature with lots of good experience. Judging by the amount of requests we get from hopeful PGCE applicants for some work experience, the application bar for a PGCE has been raised considerably. Nice that our job is sought after at last!

    All the best,

    Squirrel
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Hmm...doesn't seem to be the case in our area (present trainees excepted). A LOT seem to be in it just until the "business" world picks up. It's my pet hate at the minute!!

Right a good day today(ish). No clarification on the whole options process but thats probably more the governments fault! Doh! Two mystery shops on the way home!! Both petrol - nothing else until Saturday now. Yawn....one is for petrol and one for Italian food. Yey.

I did everything I needed to do over the weekend so feeling a bit proud of myself...admittedly there wasn't that much to do though! Ha ha. Going to try and get my little self super organised this week at work if I can. I'm on a mission to get as organised as I possibly can. Although I have psychology after work tomorrow and then a 2 hour meeting after school on Wednesday which is a little grim. But hey, what can you do.

Can NOT believe I'm ill again! :(

I prescribe a nice hot bath and an early night Twinklie. Sometimes we have to put the school work to one side and listen to our bodies. Get well soon xx

I did get an early night and felt better for it. Still feeling poop though. Boo.

Anyway, I'm being an awful mummy tonight...I just don't have the energy to take Belle for a walk and so I haven't. She went out this morning and again at lunch though...so I'm not that bad. One night won't hurt will it?? Aww...now I feel bad. I just don't have the energy though. :(
