Hey twinklie
I wouldve been fuming at the TA's actions too!! amazes me sometimes what people think is okay and then to post on facebook about it!! ....
enjoy your date night tonight
I hear you on how frustrating it is to see hard earned savings end up somewhere else!! Im sure you will have them built up again in no time!0 -
Thats just not on! (TA) Know its hard to use your savings up, but it must feel good to get rid of credit card debt too! I op'ed all but one of my isas and even though it was just moving money around, it still felt good.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Twinklie I do believe in giving feedback about TAs fairly extensively...and as for ITT trainees, I had one rock up 3 min before lesson 1 on Thurs, wanting help with her planning, only she was teaching lesson 1!!!
GGGRRRRRR
Who is your pet insurance with? Sounds good and only 3 week 'til P day for us (puppy day). Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Well my HOD is fuming about it as well because I was rather vocal about the situation...he is NOT happy about it either. Grrr. OMG...that's awful of your trainee Grateful...mine have turned a bit of a corner this week. Fingers crossed it keeps on!
Pet insurance is with helpucover.com. I've had no trouble with them at all and they are really lovely on the phone. Renewal time could be interesting though...obviously that's not till the summer months though. Fingers crossed they won't increase the price dramatically.
Had a lovely time in town and bought my friend a brew and 2 cakes. It's not often I see him these days so it was nice to be able to do something for him - he's not working at the minute...in fact hasn't been since he finished university a few years ago. He just can't get a job.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Thanks I might try them for a quote.
Yeah, the trainee is finding it really hard...wonder why...but I think we are getting through slowly! If twas me and I was running a practical in a strange room, in a new school, I would be in 20 min early to set up, and that's 18 years in!!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Yeah I agree...I would be the same. Always best to be prepared in our game.
They are pretty expensive compared to a lot of them, but it's really really good and still cheaper than pet plan!! We have quite an expensive breed to insure though so possibly that's why it seems so expensive. I don't know...it's a mine field though and quite a stressful thing to sort. The company used to be called Pinnacle and are the underwriters so can't be made to change terms etc. They just market themselves under the web address now.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Right, just thinking what do you normally buy your students when they leave? I'm looking at a book or something for them. It's neat and easy to pass on.
Right, date night last night was fab. MS meal followed by bowling. Much fun and was actually like we were dating again. Excellent times.
Although, now I have all my jobs to do today.
[STRIKE]1. Put on a wash and hang out.[/STRIKE]
2. Clean kitchen. This is underway but need risotto to stop cooking before we can finish.
[STRIKE]3. Make risotto in slow cooker.[/STRIKE]
4. Find necessary forms for DH to do his tax return. Found the gateway stuff...but it's still not working....argh.
5. Finish year 10 reports.
6. Double check all is sorted for lessons for as much of the week as possible. Tomorrow is sorted!
7. Plan Psychology.
[STRIKE]8. Do MS that had to reshedule yesterday - miscommunication and DH filled up car so couldn't do it (it's for fuel obvs).[/STRIKE]
9. Clean bathroom.
10. Print invoice for DH.
[STRIKE]11. Update meter readings.[/STRIKE]
12. Update cash flow chart.
13. Update MS spreadsheet.
14. Check mortgage calculator for a more accurate summary of progress.
I've also just meal planned for the week. Tonight is chicken and bacon risotto in the slow cooker. Tomorrow is pizza that needs eating, will make potato and leek soup overnight in slow cooker - will then provide me with lunch for rest of week. Tea is going to be a pasta dish on Tues. Put veggie chilli on over night on Tuesday and that will provide me with tea for Wednesday, Thursday I will eat whatever I've not polished off from earlier in the week and Friday I have a MS tea!!SORTED! Saturday is also sorted thanks to MS's! :j

Clearly I've gotten side tracked. Sorted all the filing and loose bits of stuff upstairs. Oophs. GOing to put risotto on after having a brew and then continue trying to crack on with the school work.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

PGCE you mean? Nothing! Sorry sounds really mean. I'm not their tutor at this school, just someone they work with, but when I was, I didn't IYSWIM.
A really good book, though, is Bill Rogers' "You know the fair rule"
Love it, easy reading and the techniques work. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Cheers Grateful...given the book is about a million quid...no chance. Ha ha.
Had a really productive day and was feeling pretty good until...we checked the yearly mortgage statement to find out that the buildings and contents we thought we'd cancelled (we rang up to do it) was not cancelled as we'd asked. So for the last year we've paid for 2 different policies!!! Totals up to over £600!! One is £267 per year (the one we want) and the one with the mortgage provider is over £400...that's why we cancelled it.
OMG...I can't believe it! I have no words.....Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
