I STILL want to be mortgage free - 2011!

Cheers Grateful...given the book is about a million quid...no chance. Ha ha.
Had a really productive day and was feeling pretty good until...we checked the yearly mortgage statement to find out that the buildings and contents we thought we'd cancelled (we rang up to do it) was not cancelled as we'd asked. So for the last year we've paid for 2 different policies!!! Totals up to over £600!! One is £267 per year (the one we want) and the one with the mortgage provider is over £400...that's why we cancelled it.
OMG...I can't believe it! I have no words.....
:eek::eek: They should record their calls, even if you can't remember exactly when you called there will be a footprint from the agent looking at your account - make sure you complain!Jan 2010 - Overdraft £9,500 / Credit Cards £5,000 / Loan £9,500 / Mortgage £128,000
Jun 2010 - Overdraft £0 / Credit Card £0 / Loan £0 / Mortgage £125,250
Oct 2011 - Overdraft £7,000  / Mortgage £115,295
Dec 2014 - Overdrafts 15,000 / Credit Cards 16,000 / Loans 25,000 / Cars 18,000 / Mortgages 232,5000 -
I never bought my students anything either. I must have been mean. :rotfl:They got my advice for free, and that was priceless.
My goodness. That must have been a nasty shock with the insurance. I hope they are good and refund you. I tend to write in my diary when i do stuff like cancel something or order something so you can quickly reference back to it if need be.0 -
Oh we have the dates...but I just can't believe they didn't bloomin' cancel it and we've been paying it all this time. On a slightly more positive note...DH says that what was going to the "extra" insurance will now go onto OPing the mortgage. OMG...I think he's finally come round to it!!
Also it means I should hopefully have a better shot of beating my target on the MFiT2 board. YEY. :jReduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Man, I'm pooped. I still need and WANT to do all my updates for this month but alas....I don't have the time or energy at the minute. I won't at the weekend either so maybe a job for next week. Doh!
Working hard but I'm getting there. This weeks not been majorly difficult but I'm really tired. There is a random spate of lying at school at the minute. Kids just lying to your face. OMG...it's so annoying. It's something I just can't cope with. ARGH.
Right now I'm fed and watered and everything is sorted it's time to check the lessons and equipment orders for the rest of the week and next week. Yawn.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Man, the last few days at work have sucked. You know you get yourself a to do list...and then things that are more urgent crop up and then you end up doing all that before you can even hit your to do list. Boo....grumble grumble.
Anyway, priorities and all that.
Managed to secure 7 new online MS's with a new company I signed up for on top of the others I was talking about which is exciting. And once it clears I will have paid off 1.7K off one of the credit cards (not from MS I might add...lol). I'm hoping I'll start feeling a little richer soon. LOL.
Got a MS tomorrow to complete and then 3 on Saturday before I need to drive down to DH. I have also applied to another exam board for some exam marking...that's 3 different boards now - they have to give me something...surely! Plus I've been told I'm on the one to one tutoring programme...just waiting for a pupil.
I'm going to get my savings back on track if I can and pay off the cc's before I pile my money into the mortgage. Although I think I know why I'm feeling so tired. I'm constantly doing something! :rotfl:Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
