Happy Birthday to those who are celebrating soon :D

Not a NSD for me today - I popped to sainsbugs after school to get some fresh fruit as my new smoothie maker arrived yesterday :D so that'll be my breakfast sorted in the morning :) I really need to get into the habit of eating breakfast; even if I don't feel like it.

Hope everyone else is well? :)

minnie - you're doing great! Changing habits can be hard and sometimes feel frustrating, but as it gets more in habit, it'll feel like second nature :)

your doing so well, your tackling your problems head on.i hit that wall frequently too it seems you take one step forward and 2 back, but you know for sure that things would probably be alot worse if you didnt tackle it.Chin up and as you say tomorrow is another day and your another step closer to that light at the end of the tunnel.

i am hoping it is just a temporary block!! got such a mountain to climb!! never have even a penny spare to stat paying things off! just managing to cover bills! and im working so many other jobs and burning myself out a bit i think!

we have definately spent a lot less this month - but still got nothing to show for it!

ive estimated that we will see a very SMALL difference by june - but junes not here yet to see the results. got a monthly overspend of £837 to sort out!

    Evening all
I have had a very spendy day today. Ventured to Exeter and stayed clear of all the clothes shops! Went to poundland and got the green veg bags, big thank you for that suggestion / advice. Also bought mini cheddars, nothing else took my fancy, we're stocked up for tea / coffee etc at the moment.
Then went to macro, spend £136! But got lots of bulk stuff including 36 roll double velvet loo roll for £9.49, a massive block of cheese the width of my fridge for £14.49, that should last a month hopefully (we eat lots of cheese), also bought 48 walkers crisps for £3.99 and lots of other things including a loft ladder! It was on offer and we really need one as balancing on an old chair is not safe!
Then I got home and hubby wanted takeaway for tea but he paid for that from his birthday money so not counting it in the budget.
On the whole though very pleased with how things are going, I haven't used the tumble dryer for a week and the bank account is looking very healthy, this is usually our low point as DH gets paid on Friday. I also took sandwiches today instead of buying Maccie Ds!

Well done you! Forward planning and money saving on the lack of tumble dryer use, and taking own sandwiches today!

I can't believe sometimes, how much money people "throw away" at work, by buying things at lunch from the high street sandwich shops!

But you have got something to show for it, you've spent less and on your way to being debt free :)
Junes not here yet but it soon will be. If you carry on as you are and be as careful as you can then as you say you'll see a difference, might be small, but it's a start. If you give up, June will arrive and you can bet your bottom cyber dollar you'll be wishing it was January again so you could turn back the clock and continue being careful.
You might feel it is a huge mountain to climb but minnie when you get there what a fabulous view it will be :D
