  • Minnie2- I have a cunning plan that will sort your funeral outfit without costing you a penny :D
Have a mooch round the shops and choose an outfit that you like, but make sure you can hide the tags when you wear it, be very careful not to dirty it and then take it back asap after the funeral and say you tried it on at home and it didnt fit. ;)

Hi, I would very much like to be included. It has taken me 19 days of lurking to decide to do so. My partner and I gave up teaching careers last July to set up our own business and times are tight. I thank you all for the tips and tip offs that I have benefited from.
I've added you to the list - welcome aboard :T

Some of the regulars from DH's favoured boozer came to his service in jeans, t-shirt and leather or denim jacket. Didn't bother me in the slightest (and none of the kids or more extended family said anything to me about it either) - the main thing was they cared enough to turn up :)

Cheryl - what a great idea to take a long weekend for your birthday, will you be seeing your new chappie? And yay for you doing the 10K - we will be cheering you on for the virtual sidelines! :T

Not as if I needed my annual leave for anything else, so figured I may as well. Next year my b/day is on a Monday, so I put in a holiday application for the entire week this last Monday :T

[strike]someone didn't see the small print on the post ;)[/strike]
sorry - posted that on another thread !! doh !!!!

he's coming over on Saturday evening, using my spare room over night, and then coming to the race with me

and then over to visit the family afterwards, as they expect to see me when I'm in the area - especially with it being on my b/day (the race isn't far from DD/GDs/parents/DS2)
And yay for you doing the 10K - we will be cheering you on for the virtual sidelines! :T
thanks :) and I'll have a "really-there" supporter at the event as well :D

Great Cheryl, he sounds like a vast improvement on the last one who didn't seem to support your running.

and was supposedly a 'part-time' runner himself !!

this one can't run (medical reasons), so doesn't make logical sense for them to be that way around to me unknown.gif

he's already asking about the half-marathon I'm down for in June, so I think he plans to come and cheer me on for that one as well...... not sure he realises it'll mean him standing around in a field for the best part of 2.5hrs while I'm actually out running rolleyes.gif
