:T thanks chika. i never noticed there was an optiticans in Asda - just checked and there's one in my 'old' store, the one a bit further away, BUT they sell the brand that made the pair i Really liked, Jai Kudo, and also Fat Face (who before my even thriftyer days i could have said 'sponsored' me as i wore so much of their clothing, though mostly from sales!). so that's brilliant. thanks!

I'm debating making up a notebook to put all the frugal ideas in. I saw something sometime ago on the Martha Stewart web site on using scrap paper (printed on one side) stapled together with a card cover. I might try that.

I know exactly what you mean with all the frugal idea's and recipes it would be a good idea to have them all in one place i do personally journal so i'm sure i would find this quite easy to adapt to - thanks for the idea

I'm on lunch break at work and the internet access won't let me go through to the Martha Stewart site. It must be dangerous or something ;):rotfl:

I'll have a look this evening for the link. It was in the crafts section and I may have bookmarked it. I did spend one glorious morning in the Christmas break looking at all sorts of ideas on that site. :D

Well I am having a well earned rest! My kitchen is all clean and sparkly - I swear I have morphed into someone else over the last couple of weeks. Perhaps it's the body snatchers!:rotfl:

I had a lovely frugal lunch - I made soup with the leftover spicy chicken couscous and chicken stock; a bit of a gamble but it was delicious!

I'm going to spend some money today as my son's girlfriend and a friend of my daughter's are coming to dinner. I am going to buy sausages from the Free range butcher which are expensive but we only have them once in a blue moon. My son is away for the month and doesn't eat sausages so they will be a treat for his girlfriend. He does most of the cooking as he used to be a chef.

  • Hello everyone! :hello:

I've got a lot of reading back to do!

The latest frugal news from me is that we're selling some old DVDs, CDs and games to Music Magpie. We've been offered about £18 for those, so need to box them up when the Freepost labels arrive. Thank you to whoever it was who mentioned that website on this thread! :T

I've had two NSDs this week so far and got some freebies in Tesco on Monday! :j

I've brought in my lunch every day this week. Tonight won't be so frugal as I'm eating out at the pub with my friend. Well, I'm supposed to be, but I don't feel too great at the moment and not sure I want to go. :o

    I hope everyone's well! :)
