Flying Fresian I really enjoyed reading the comments to that article! Very funny!
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

I'm being dumb and un-techie but how do you get the actual smiley images from the site to show in an email? I copied and pasted the URL link onto an email but it just had the link, not the image. What am I doing wrong?

I think it shows when you send it. My smiley didn't show when I was typing the post but was there when I posted it (if that makes sense!)

we dont get much help from gravity with our toilet(its downstairs)so as we arent metered i ask then men to flush part way through also if the water starts backing up i turn kitchen tap on it shares same drainage pipe. i also use soda chrystals to put down the toilet once a week:D

It's not the 'URL' you need, it's the one in the box under 'Forum' (which starts in squared brackets)4chsmu1.gif

... I'm out of breath. Just done a mad dash through the posts to catch up :D I daren't skip them as there are so many useful tips.

A NSD yesterday and hopefully will be one today. OH made potato wedges and a dip to go with dinner last night. It was lovely to come home to something unexpected and they were very tasty. Normally it would be mash or boiled potatoes. (Which is nice but it was lovely to have a surprise). He is very on board with the challenge and we can see the benefits. He went online to look for recipes and is now getting quite interested in trying new things. Food is stretching a long way and the next shop on Thursday should be quite low.

I'm debating making up a notebook to put all the frugal ideas in. I saw something sometime ago on the Martha Stewart web site on using scrap paper (printed on one side) stapled together with a card cover. I might try that.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
