They must like me more, my email said from $28 :):T

They like me better too -I got $28 too :p

As a datapoint I stayed two nights at the Orleans this year (comped) and played very moderately there and at the Gold Coast on slots only.

Hi that was me I think :), I bought mine from Walmart, on the shelves that say 'sleep aids'. I got some melt on the tongue ones and went out like a light.

    Fab - thanks, Hun.

I can't wait. It will be well worth the 20 mile drive from the strip to get a burger, as there's no other burger places worth going to in Vegas.

Not being able to find a burger after flying over 5000 miles is one of my worst nightmares.

I didnt realise it was a 40 mile round trip from the strip when I posted.

Looks like I will stick with In N Out unless I find myself up that way
  • Is it wrong that we spent 2 hours wandering around Wallmart in Vegas today?????:o

Went to iHop for breakfast today, disappointed :(
    Cheese cake factory tonight..... Yummy!

Yesterday we had the Bellagio buffet for breakfast ( still felt stuffed at 6pm but managed to force myself to eat at Strip burger, was delicious!:D

We saw Nathan Burton this afternoon, saw him last year and he is fab! Laughed till I cried! Got a special offer to see Jeff Civillico with dinner at Planet Hollywood tomorrow for 25 dollars each!

We are seeing the Michael Jackson show on Saturday and Jabawakee Sunday.

Not got any plans for Friday night yet......unsure what else to see. We were here same time last year and saw Jersey Boys which was fabulous, but don't really want to spend 100 dollars a piece seeing a show we have already watched once.

I think I am going to return with much slimmer legs from all the walking but MUCH bigger stomach and butt!

Got an upgrade on the Bellagio, handed over 50 dollars rather than 20 as we are here for 8 nights and i didnt want to look too tight:rotfl:Lovely room but not as nice as the upgrade we had last year to a Tower room:o

I have to say the 'Resort Fee' cost us 179 including taxes and is a terrible waste of money, not that you get a choice, but normally I wouldn't use any of the 'services'. Lady on the check in desk said most people don't like it.....you don't say!

Glad I bought my iPod touch with me, am determined to get some Internet time out of the 'fee' if nothing else!!:p

I'm sure CP and the Flamingo etc do very well from people who resent the resort charge.

hi all thought i'd ask on here first. got 67500 of virgin flyer points if i convert all my tesco clubcard vouchers into their miles or £813 off a holiday at 3x value. Anyone used them before? Any idea how far 67500 would get me (sorry cant check at work as it blocks VIRGIN)

  • i used 120,000 virgin miles to upgrade 2 flexible economy tickets into 2 Upper Class returns to LA back in 2009

Paid around £750 each for our economy returns (not the cheapest econ tickets but the 'upgradable' fare) then used my miles to bump up to UC.

there was a small admin fee to do this but it meant i got nearly £6k's worth of UC ticket for a ¼ of the price.

this was around 3 years ago I booked this so not sure if things had changed since

50,000 gets you Econ to Vegas BUT you have to pay £285 on top of that.

    75,000 Prem Econ + £375

    100,000 UC + about £450

    Then there's Miles + money

2,000 Flying Club miles for an Economy fare
    Usually knocks off about £30-£40

7,500 Flying Club miles for a Premium Economy fare

15,000 Flying Club miles for an Upper Class fare

Look at V-flyer.com for info as well

100k miles is achievable but does not look worth it £570 for two people flights only + hotel approx £500 so still paying 1k for a weeks holiday. Think ill save up till i can get £1500 off a holiday at 3x rate change. thanks for replys
