I am flying with Virgin MAN-LAS in January how grim is it down the back, seat pitch, entertainment etc.

seatguru.com is your one stop shop for info.

I personally book the 2 seats together at the back, some possible disadvantages with meal choices (depends which way they serve and no experience of the new meal service). Pretty much first on and last off never really bothered me as you have to wait around for your luggage anyway.

There are a number of posters on here who make a beeline for these seats as they don't involve the same hassles of being in a 3 or 4 seat block.

I don't know if it's grim or not as it'll be our first trip to Vegas in a couple of weeks' time. What swung it for us was not having to sit with anyone else for 10 hours!

Btw, did I read a few weeks' back that someone takes melatonin for the night flight home? If so, where to buy it please?

Hi that was me I think :), I bought mine from Walmart, on the shelves that say 'sleep aids'. I got some melt on the tongue ones and went out like a light.

Had an offer in from the Orleans, Jan 8th to end of Feb, $35 a night (more at weekends) for up to 4 nights plus a $15 food credit per day, room taxes etc still apply.

Just looked at the site and it shows the stay and dine offer on the front page, didn't trial a booking.

They must like me more, my email said from $28 :):T

my husband got the $35 Orleans offer too (nothing for me :()...but we checked and no cheap rates for our dates...were considering a one-night trial as I don't think it would suit us for any length of time but for one night I would like to check it out.

So far we have our last 3 nights booked at TI - have booked there twice but always double booked a freebie and have never stayed there properly so I'm looking forward to it...first 5 nights probably Ballys but we're stalking.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I can't wait. It will be well worth the 20 mile drive from the strip to get a burger, as there's no other burger places worth going to in Vegas.

Not being able to find a burger after flying over 5000 miles is one of my worst nightmares.

If you are picking up a hire car after landing take a right at the lights after exiting the facility and a right again at the next lights (opposite the outlet mall) drive for a bit, you will go past a big "welcome to fabulous las vegas" sign. When you get to the intersection that has NYNY, MGM, and Excalibur on it turn left. Go straight on over the I15 and under the bridge, after the bridge take your first right onto Industrial/Dean Martin, or whatever they call it now, there will be a big sign on your immediate right with a yellow arrow pointing into the car park of the best burger place in the world. (Especially when you know the secret menu) :T:rotfl:
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Stoneman is correct :T:T:T The one I went to was over by UNLV on Maryland. Secret menu simplified.....just ask for burger and fries animal style. I prefer my fries light, rather than as they come....I find they taste overcooked.
