Join the Earl of Sandwich eclub and get a free birthday sandwich apparently?

Only just seen it so not sure if you can only redeem it on your actual birthday or whether you're given a time period window for redemption.

ok off to vegas in 10 days, now worried about cost a little as hubby was just made redundant, but ho hum.

About to book a car for 2-3 days as we have two nights booked in flagstaff to see GCanyon. Is it worth having a car in vegas itself, or not worth it. We are staying at plat suites, arriving on 21st, departing there on 27th for next hotel.

not sure if it is worth it or not. Would like to see Hoover Dam too.

Thanks for the link to EoS nvh. Birthday offers can normally be redeemed any time in your birthday month.

Signed up for this a few hours ago but still no email.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

excellent find on the EOS thing...not sure when we'll go during a birthday month next but will file it away.

hcb42 - we think having a car is essential - others are quite happy to go without...it's really down to the individual, personal preference...for us, we think having a car gives us the opportunity to easily explore, which sometimes means 'get us out of the casino for awhile'...pretty sure without a car we would lose loads more. :)

Not sure what your itinerary is, but if you're starting in Vegas and ending up back in Vegas you'll have two chances to stop at the Hoover Dam on your way to and back from the GC.

But, you do know that Flagstaff is quite some way from the GC? About an hour and a half drive, I think?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

May be like the Cold Stone one - that came a day or so after signing up, if memory serves.

@duchy -Yeh maybe tourists don't have this knowledge.

@Stoneman - I dunno why people would kick up a fuss either if you paid for cheap seats, i certainly wouldnt ...... i think people were just annoyed cause there were seats available with a better view (behind) and the ushers just wouldn't let them move behind, a tip option wasnt given on entry, maybe the ushers were having a bad day.

I'm sure they were if people were been rude to them.Kicking off at people trying to do their jobs ? Charming !

Not sure what you mean by a "tip option wasn't offered" What does that mean ?
The custom in Vegas is to discreetly tip the usher and ask if there are better seats and if they accept it they'll reseat you. THEY don't ask you-you need to OFFER !

Doesn't matter if the seats are behind or in front -you want better seats you pay for them or you tip and hope the usher plays ball. Same priniple as the $20 trick -you don't just move into another empty hotel rooms just because you fancy it after all !! You pay for the better room or you tip at check in and hope.

Thanks for the tip - perhaps I will give it more consideration - esp if the difference in cost is not much more. We are ending up back in Vegas as will be flying back out from there.

Yes, I know Flagstaff is some way away, however I work for a major hotel brand and they have a hotel there so I got a room for about 60 USD.....I have been to GC before, and stopped at Williams, although I drove from Phoenix that time, as I used to work for a company there.
