MayI think it's pot luck -I've arrived at the Flamingo CP and IP well before noon and got rooms straight away even though I wasn't exxpecting to-yet another time checked in at 3 and by 5 still didn't have a room and had to kick butt to get one.
I assume they won't be ready and make plans to be doing something between about 12 and 4 -we usually dump the bags go for lunch-and the time soon goes.
The Orleans is fab for early check in-it's never a problem- I once showed up at 9 and checked straight in. Another reason to love the OrleansI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
MayWe have twice managed to get rooms at Bally's between 12 and 1. However I find CET properties notorious for stating that check in is between 4-6pm. We checked into Harrah's at 12.30 and didn't get the room until almost 4pm.0

just wanting some opinions if possible....
we are hoping to go back to vegas for our honeymoon aug 2012. I prefer a direct flight, but there aren't any from Belfast.
So flybe, belfast to manchester, then virgin, manchester to vegas direct. pretty much same for return journey, except its gatwick rather than manchester.
10 nights monte carlo in a deluxe room (plus $15 resort fee each night)
total price for 2 adults is £2500
considering the flights for early august (7th onwards) are around £900 direct, that expedia package price doesnt seem to bad!!
I'm struggling to wait until the new year as I just want to get something booked lol!!! Impatient.com!!0 -
MarchThere were direct flights from Shannon at one time, don't know if they still do though?0

November / DecemberHey everyone, wondering if someone would be able to help me. Fly out on Wednesday to LA and we booked with Expedia. We fly Belfast City to London Heathrow with Lufthansa operated by BMI, and then on Lufthansa operated by United to LAX. I was just wondering if we have certain weight restrictions on BMI that are different to our United ones? Do I have to abide by both airlines baggage weight even though it's a connecting flight? Also, when we get to London do we have to check in again, as if we'd just started from there, or do we check in to the main flight from Belfast? Bit confused! Hoping to try upgrade our seats at the airport since it won't let me do it online, but I don't know which airport I'm supposed to ask in :S0

November / DecemberAnd on the note of baggage weight, does anyone know how much I get for flying with United? I can't seem to find it on their website.0

to be honest it would be quicker to fly to UK mainland, than drive to Shannon & do waiting times at airports - you are looking at around 4 hour drive. Even a flight from Belfast to Shannon takes longer than a flight from Belfast to London lol!!
Thanks for the suggestion tho :-)0 -

BMI give you one bag up to 23kg, United one bag up to 20kg, so not much in it. Cabin baggage is pretty much the same - 1 piece + 1 personal item.
I presume both flights are on one ticket? In which case, you will be able to check you luggage straight through to LAX. When you arrive at LHR T1, follow signs for 'flight connections centre' - you should not have to change terminal.
Where you say, 'upgrade seats', if you mean to economy plus, then you should be able to do this on-line as long as you have the UA ref number. You can also ask at the United customer services desk at Heathrow about that -or upgrading to business class or whatever.0 -

It is only 2 drop down menus on uniteds website
http://www.united.com/page/article/0,6867,52482,00.html
A bit difficult to read as there are som many charts as they have changed their policies but it looks to me as it is one free bag up to 23kg, so you will be able to take and cjeck in 23kg on the first flight all the way through.
As for the upgrade..I dont really know what you mean, why cant you purchase a better seat from either your original agent or uniteds website0 -
November / DecemberI don't know why it won't let me get a better seat online. It's been doing it since we booked. When I go to United's website and sign in to view my booking the Travel Options aren't available to me, it's greyed out. Even when I try to choose my seat on their website there's no seats there, like theres an error with the page, and it's been like that from the beginning. The only website I can choose my seat on is the Lufthansa website, and it won't let me select premium economy. I rang up United earlier and they told me that I could do it upon check in if the seats were still available so fingers crossed.
Am I supposed to have some form of paper ticket? Because I never got one, just emails, all of which I've printed.0
