I've heard good things on various other forums about the HHAGG off strip location - think it was on the Man vs Food Las Vegas episode too if anyone's ever seen that - but seem to recall reading somewhere that the one at IP isn't as good. Never tried either personally though so this is all second hand info.

I haven't been on this particular one, but I have been on similar trips to both places. The casinos in Primm and Laughlin pay for them so that they get more visitors. It makes for a long day from what i can remember, because you are at the place for at least 4 hours and they hope you will gamble. There is quite a lot to do at Laughlin, but Primm is three casinos and a shopping outlet.

Over the moon - I am venturing back to Vegas for my 2nd trip in November!

Going with five other old University pals 4th-11th November. Cracking deal for £630pp for 7 nights at Excalibur.

Our flights are indirect via Charlotte from Gatwick. I have one quick question regarding connecting flights as I have never experienced them before. Do we have to reclaim our luggage from the Gatwick flight and check in to the internal Vegas flight or is our luggage automatically transferred onto Vegas flight?

Also our flight lands at Charlotte at 3.50pm and our connecting flight to Vegas leaves at 6.15pm - do you guys think that leaves enough time?

Apologies if this appears a dumb question, just curious!

Your bags will be tagged at Gatwick through to LAS ......but.....when you get off the plane you go through immigration-pick your bags off the carousel-walk through customs with them and directly after customs there is a drop off to put your bags-and they are put onto your connecting flight. No need to stand in line as they are already tagged.

Over two hours to connect is fine. You'll probably have time to grab something to eat......something to consider (or at least pick up something to take to eat on your domestic flight) as food is not free on those internal flights

we went the opposite way back via charlotte, more then enough time. Airport is nice and modern looking with decent food and bars to pass the time .

I'd be suspicious too but I read about on someones trip report (UK person)and all seemed well, we're planning to go to Laughlin anyway but this way, if we choose to, we can both have a drink.

Put it this way, I'm going to give it a go.:D
