My daughter is taking this flight in March. Would you recommend paying for early boarding with Easyjet? She's never flown a budget airline before - boy is she in for a shock:D (Strange how their priorities change once the bank of Mum 'n' Dad is no longer paying for their hols!)

we flew with them last year , typical we were a group of 4 with a child , and last on ( because everyone had to pick out their bag on the runway before take off) .

note to miserable ,stubborn , selfish, baby boomer generation , old people ( which is what the plane was packed with ) , the plane won't take off till a minor is seated next to a parent . !!!

not one offer to move by any pruned couple .....not one .

in the end other parents with children had to jig around . but did the so called " attendants " do their job ....er no .

lets see what Monarch are like this year .hopefully not full of baby boomers ( sorry in advance to anyone of that age who is considerate , but you know as well as i do , a lot of your peers behave like this all the time )

rant over ....sorry for going off topic
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
  • CSI on Ch5 right now, not sure if its a new episode or repeat as I dont watch this regulary.

The opening scenes are at the Golden Nugget, big pool party, DJ and music blaring, shark escapes into the pool and eats a woman's arm off.

again, apologies for the question but has anyone eaten there and how does it rate? I'm trying to remember if this is the place that people have said has a massive queue in the mornings!?

    Hey guys,

Does anyone have any experience of using the Luxbus from LA to Vegas?

    Thanks

Hi, a couple of years ago, we used the LuxBus from Vegas to Anaheim. It picked us up at the Luxor (it was the closest pick up to the MGM where we were staying) and dropped us of at the Hilton Anaheim where we were staying. I think it was relatively expensive (I seem to recall $69 each), but it was a really good option for us, since we did not want to rent a car and flying would have been more expensive, with taxis and transfers. Also, we were going to anaheim and it offered the option of dropping us off at any hotel.
They served some beverages on the way, and we stopped at a crappy place which had a McDonald's, Panda Express, etc, but which allowed us to use the restrooms and eat diner. I think they showed some movies on the bus. I recall it was full, so it was good we queued relatively early for the bus, and were able to sit together. Larger families were not so lucky. Overall, I would recommend it for a first time visit.
  • Hi, after some advice, going to Vegas to get married in April, most of the party are staying in the MGM, some others are in the Excalibur and New York New York. Will they be able to use our swimming pool. if not is there any payment/way round it.

    Thanks

And that steak will be cooked medium, right ferf?

Ha! Yes, unless I panic at the last minute and revert to my medium-well days...the well done days are good and over at least. :)

Thanks for the heads up on Hash House A Go Go, nvh...I've had restaurant.com vouchers for their off-strip locations before, but always ended up giving them away as we never seemed to make it...now I think we might give it a go.

I think the massive queues that have been mentioned were for the Denny's on the strip, maybe?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We went to HHAGG at the IP last year and weren't impressed. Yes the portions were massive, but neither of us thought the food was up to much. I wasn't really hungry so that didn't help, but it's the kind of place where sharing might be a good idea.

OH had the signature chicken and waffles, but it seems more quantity than quality. Not sure if we will try it again even with a r.com cert, but never say never.

I've heard good things on various other forums about the HHAGG off strip location - think it was on the Man vs Food Las Vegas episode too if anyone's ever seen that - but seem to recall reading somewhere that the one at IP isn't as good. Never tried either personally though so this is all second hand info.

Yelp reviews, which I generally find pretty good for restaurants, are here for the two Vegas locations if you want to have a read:

    6800 W Sahara - http://www.yelp.com/biz/hash-house-a-go-go-las-vegas-2

    Imperial Palace - http://www.yelp.com/biz/hash-house-a-go-go-las-vegas-

They get 4/5 and 3.5/5 stars respectively...I might consider giving the one at the IP a go with a r.com cert depending on the terms.
