Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Reminds me of those scam auctions they use to have in Oxford Street...after giving a Playstation or similar to an insider, theyd then say "Who'll now give me a tenner for what Im thinking of".....and the whole room would put up their hands and receive a piece of tat.

The new Margaritaville casino within The Flamingo is now open. To celebrate they are concocting a world record margarita and there is a live webcam if anyone's interested:

    Hi all,
Have posted a few times on here but mainly just read along like a secret stalker! Im goin to vegas the first week of November and am struggling as to what clothes i will need with me! I no this has probably been covered many times and have read the avg temps etc but was just looking for first hand advice from anyone thats been this time of year before?

Were getting married while were there so would also like to know if it could be wet as i know it is atm. How oftn does it rain in las vegas?

1 more question regarding hotels puting holds on cards. I know little about this but we are travelling as part of a package deal so the hotel will already have been paid. Will they still hold the entire rate on a card as well or will this hopefully not be the case?

Cant wait to go now! Just feeling under prepared!!

advice on what people wore in the past is no good to you for the present. Just look at the forecast for when you are going, then you will know what to take, simples.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

finally got this off my phone (I don't have a fancy enough phone).

This was the best win of our trip - at Flamingo. I HATE these machines but my husband likes them...I had won $200 on a 50 Lions machine and was very pleased with myself...I walked over to where he was sitting and he started gesturing at the screen - it was at about $200 when I walked up and just kept going...neither of us thought it would be anything near almost $600...a bit crazy. :)

Up to that point there was a risk this would be the win of the trip...

Which was Harrah's Joliet the night before we flew from Chicago to Vegas...we were at the first stop on our quest to get 3 locations ticked off for the Race for Rewards. I was exceptionally pleased with this one, though somehow it seemed like a full screen of the top symbol (first and last columns on the main spin - and then the middle 3 filled in) should be more than $400. :)

We have been a few times at the beginning of November. It was a bit chilly early in the morning when we needed long sleeves, but in the afternoon it was warm enough to sunbathe by the pool. We had no rain.

However to put that in context, when we were there for the last 2 weeks in September for the last 2 years, the temps were up to 107F and the air was very dry. Last year there was a shower on the day we left. This year at the same time they have had temps in the 60's and a lot of rain.

Check this site just before you leave as I always find it accurate

Thanks to Ferf and bubble for the MRB. We have used several of the downtown ones so far. We had dinner at Magnolias in the 4 Queens using a 2for1 yesterday. They do a good prime rib dinner there. I had that and Tony had a roast beef sandwich. Yummy.
