When we stayed there that was the biggest problem, no storage space. And look in the last photo where the TV is, at right angles to the bed, how are you supposed to watch that!

Yep the TV is at right angles to the bed. The bed was actually facing the window in the room we had.

you guys and your storage space ;)

penny is right by the way - the beds do face the tv (second picture is taken with me lying in bed), and the window (in our case) was at a right-angle to the bed. Whether this is different to you luci because we got 2 queens? (or is that what you had?)

I still think the place was really good value for money for us - I guess that's the case with all hotels in vegas though, it literally boils down to how much you're paying for it :)

I have stayed a few times at PH.

    My list of likes;

    $20 trick worked every time.
Resort room with fountain view, lovely room, great bathroom.
Good position on strip, easy for Paris,Bally's,Bellagio and Cosmopolitan.
    Earl of sandwich...awesome
Miracle mile has ABC store and 'Cheeseburger" restaurant.
    Most I've won on a 1cent slot...$1600:)
    OK poker room.

In my opinion a good choice for a stag party it's a young crowd and there is the pleasure pit......Not done the club but always seems to be popular.

What type of room did you stay in at MB? Have stayed there once so can offer my opinion in room difference. Overall I prefer PH for its position and atmosphere.

Think it was just a standard room and I was really impressed, very clean and the service was excellent. I'm hoping PH can match that! How random that there is no wardrobe space in the PH room, not ideal i will just have to make sure everything is ironed before I go!!!!

Thanks for all the photos, the rooms look just fine again the TV is a bit of a random angle on the 2 queen bed room. Thanks for the other tips, im certainly hoping to upgrade my room at least, theres myself and my 2 bestmen (brother & bestmate) I know, i know 2 bestmen sigh bit over the top but I was bestman for both of them so couldnt choose between them. Theres us 3 and my cousin in our room and im in 2 minds whether to risk the $20 trick or surprise the 3 of them and pay to upgrade our room.

Thanks for the help so far, I'm sure il be back for more!!!!!

it was sad - and strange too - especially the guy down there who worked in Mandalay Bay and was getting dressed for work... strange in the sense that they didn't ask / mention / show what he does with his wages or why he's down there.

Not sure if you saw but the guy that took Justin down there has also written a book about it:

Cheapest seems to be around £9'ish:

DEFO! - if it works you could be laughing (we got upgraded in Caesars Palace to a suite that was allegadly $200 p/night more!), if it doesn't work then what have you lost? :)

There are some places we haven't tried it and got given better views than we were supposed to have (Encore, Bellagio) just by asking nicely.

Likewise, there's places that haven't budged with a $20 trick even when just trying to get a high floor with a view (Mandalay Bay)

It's all about what mood the check-in clerk is in and whether it's available (and possibly who's watching them :D ) :)

Ours too. Made it really hard to watch the T.V.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Can anyone confirm that you can take $9,999 in cash through customs without declaring it? I'm assuming that will mean any currency with an equivalent value.

Without declaring it yes, don't forget you also have to declare it if you are bringing more than 10k back!!!

Played Ghostbuster in the Mirage last night not for me. Also the new Star Trek machine is pants.

Temps over the next 2 days is 99f, then it cools off to 96f, Still it's nice sitting in Denny's waiting for my 'Lumberjack'

I forgot a part of my trip report from recent poker trip.

Got talking with a couple of dealers. Apparently they earn minimum wage from casino employment ($10 or so), but expect to earn upwards of $30 an hour in tips.....a dollar or two per hand is the minimum they would expect, and 25 hands per hour is normal.
