When I was home I found some sandwich steaks in Asda. These are the same steaks we use over here. It was a box of 10 sandwich steaks in the freezer section for £1. Bargain. Unfortunately couldn't find any hoagie style rolls anywhere so made do with hot-dog style rolls.
Yeah, sandwich steaks is what I use in the U.K. to make them as well, good substitute.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

  • Thanks to those that replied to my flight queries, we ended up booking through expedia for ease tbh, the prices we got was 4 nights at Planet Hollywood flying out of Manchester for £570 with 5% back thru topcashback, im not banking on the 5% but I think £570 is pretty good bearing in mind i paid £477 to stay at Mandalay bay 3 years ago when I last went.

Well Excited!!!!! 8 of us going with the possibility of my dad and a couple of uncles booking a late package to come and join us, anybody had any experience of PH? Heard some good reviews but also seen some mixed ones on tripadviser.

Thanks for the help and posts, this thread has been invaluable!

How much time required for chngeover at entry point in USA?

I know it has been asked many times but I dont take much notice as it is years since I have done a non direct flight.

Found cheap flights from Norwich, changing at Detroit or Minneapolis both with a 2 hour stop..is that enough generally speaking? I know they will put us on a later flight if need be, but would rather be on the one I am scheduled on.

On the return leg there are some options that only have a 1 hour changeover, surely that isnt enough although I do realise i wont be clearing customs on way home

Depends on the airport IMHO eg Charlotte one hour is plenty on the way home so long as its on time as theres five "terminals" in the one building and there are moving walkways everywhere. Two hour stopover......depends on what the immigration queue is like, which would be the major problem that I can foresee. Then if its late as well.......

Detroit for me was over an hour to get thru immigration as I was back of that queue and another plane had just landed.
