When are you going? The new cirque micheal jackson may be out. I went with a veggie and few years ago and back them he really struggled to find stuff

We're going in October. Yeah I found when I went to vegas last year it was difficult to find veggie stuff... more so in Vegas than anywhere else. I think i'll look on tripadvisor and see if I can find something. Otherwise it will have to be a trip to the cheesecake factory!

All the restaurants in Wynn/Encore have vegan items on the menus...and you can usually find veggie items in the Buffets

Trip Report from cheapo solo holiday arranged at last minute (booked Monday evening.....flew Wednesday morning). Just a short review as I didnt plan much or do much.

Flew US Air via Charlotte. 8 hours + 4 hours layover + 4 hours to Vegas. Flights OK…..chicken and pasta meal surprisingly good. Big TV at McCarron said Lion King closes end of this year. Booked economy rental car, they tried upselling me, and when I went down all they had was full size cars…..ended up with a Ford Crown Victoria…..thats the car that lots of Police Cars are. Still haven’t found how to get straight to Swenson from Rental Centre……ended up going past the Welcome sign as I do every time!!!

Checked in at Terribles for 9 nights……..its OK but nothing special. It reminds me of the hotels you get in UK in Brighton or Bournemouth….slightly tired. But its cheap……9 nights cost similar to Saturday night on the Strip at PH. Found cockroach enjoying my bathroom......rather than move me to a new room, they sent up a man with insecticide, which smelt for the rest of the stay.....even with aircon on all week. Free wifi and they will print your boarding cards......those are the most positives I can give.

Location.....opposite PF Changs, just up the road from Hard Rock Hotel. Breakfast $3.99 with a Players Card…..filled a hole (loadsa stodge on offer......I now know what chicken steak is I think.....reconstituted brown meat from the chicken.......can recommend Einstein Bagel bakery on Maryland (right in UNLV country) for toasted sesame bagel, smoked salmon, cream cheese and a nice cup of British Breakfast!!!

TV news reported Plaza Hotel just reopened after refurb.

Spent first full day relaxing…..quick walk round Walmart and Premium Outlets North, and got an early night. Joined Terribles Players Club and got a Welcome Sign T-shirt for my youngest.

Friday spent all day playing $1-$2 NL Holdem at Mirage…..I went to play the 11am tourney, arrived an hour or so early and was going to play cash until 11….however was enjoying the cash game, so carried on till 7pm. Nice poker room. Was up a few hundred.....mainly courtesy of a drunk yank who kept on visiting the [STRIKE]slot [/STRIKE]cash machine!!!

!!!!!!.com – poker comps accrue at $1 an hour (mostly) played in cash games, however do not add into the standard !!!!!! scheme. Each casinos poker room is a separate scheme, and a credit note needs to be obtained from the poker room that you played at, that can be spent at most of the onsite restaurants.

Sat - Went out to Primm to stock up on Hollister for Mrs Frog and the kids. Poker at to Harrahs for $1-$2…...same $1 an hour for Total Rewards credit.....that works in the usual TR way ie hand in your card when you pay for food. Came out two hundred up.

Dinner at Ellis Island…..Steak Special please!!! Had the Dark beer….had a funny aftertaste that I couldn’t place…..possibly its Theakston Old Peculiar that ive not had for 25 years. Had steak medium rare……blood everywhere!!!

Sunday - Excalibur poker room was OK – played most of the day there. Went to In-and-Out for dinner – burger was excellent but I thought the fries were not…..they were overdone and not a nice taste and too crunchy.

Mon - Tropicana – the whole casino very nice and has been totally refurbed. Free wifi in the casino. Poker room the friendliest that I came across……dealers (and the room supervisor) made an effort to remember your name or looked at the box to remind themselves. Only a small room (six tables or so) but light and bright……as was the rest of the casino. Totally different from dark casinos like PH or Mirage or Aria.

Tue - Ballys I played poorly/was unlucky and lost at the 1-2 table…….guy to my right flopped a straight and I had a pocket overpair. He shouldnt have been in the pot with 9-6 o/s!!!

Picked up loads of stuff from Victorias Secret PINK for Mrs Frog and the tadpoles……all from the clearance rail!!! Went back to In-and-out after reading up on the secret menu. Ordered the burger animal style and the fries light.....much better :)

Wed and Thurs - back to Tropicana (I will come back here again) to play the 10am and 2pm tourneys. Some success!!! Tried to use up all the poker credits in various restaurants......think I missed out on Excalibur. Flamingo breakfast was nice.

    Fri - home.

I have been directed to i4vegas site from Vegas Advisor, I am trying to book a hotel room for 4 people but can only seem to book it for 2. Any body used this site before. thanks

Is it 2 couples you are booking for or a family of 4 as you will only get 2 queen beds (hopefully) you may only get one king size bed as no bed request is gteed.

I would only book for 2 as booking for anymore will incur extra guest charges of $30 a head (most likely)

Have you checked the hotels own website and the links on page 1 of this thread

As you are exiting the facility you have to turn right. Do a U turn right after the central reservation (or go left at the lights and turn around at the garage) Take the first right at the lights, (George Crockett Rd) that takes you straight onto the airport tunnel road, then straight onto Swenson
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Maybe $100 a day, that is fairly standard

Any reason you chose the Riviera, I have never stayed there, I know there was some very cheap deals (including free nights a while ago), but it is prob the oldest strip hotel (maybe a good thing) and the location isnt great

Heres a great moneysaving tip if youre going to be travelling long distances eg to LA and back.

Go to carhire3000, book your car pickup Vegas for one day with tank of fuel included, then book your car pickup LA with full tank included.

The additional cost of the full tank fuel package is five quid on top of £20 a day or so rental.

    Bargain!!!
