November / DecemberI've been emailing the Mirage and we paid off our reservation in full, inc the resort fee and I asked about whether any deposit was required and she said no, not unless I wanted to upgrade to a suite.0

JulyI haven't caught up on this thread i quite a while, since I booked our Vegas trip a few months ago then just sort of forgot about it....:o but now it's approaching (we go early December) I think it's time to start getting excited!!
Anyway I just wondered if anyone has experience of staying at the Vdara. I booked as there was good offer on at the time, even taking into account the $20 per night resort fee, and I like the idea of the hotel being a bit quieter and casino free.
I've just read though, about a $100 per night security fee that they hold from your credit/debit card on check in - can anyone confirm if this is correct? I really can't afford for them to reserve $700 on top of everything else we're paying!!
have no plans for a 3rd trip to LV, but can't help myself coming back to this thread and reading reports and what's going on!
the 2 times we've been, we've stayed at the Vdara... for us it is the perfect hotel. it is pretty quiet, you don't get 'passing trade' and there's no reason for people to go there unless you're staying there!
access to the strip is dead easy, either walk through Aria, or across the walkway into the Bellagio... it really is a great location.
taking a swipe of a credit card is pretty standard, though don't think they actually take it out of your account? i've just looked back at my statements for our stay, and there's no debit/credit from Vdara.
awesome hotel though, happy to answer any questions you may have... love talking about it0 -

its not actually taken from your account, they block a certain amount of money on your card, and is released when you check out, but sometimes takes a week or more for the block to be lifted. So if you have a low limit on your card, you may not have any spare funds on it for shopping etc0 -
MarchHi guys -
I have a couple of spare part used Las Vegas Advisor Member Rewards coupon books I would like to redistribute. Thanks to bubble's kindness, I'm now overwhelmed with vouchers and no way can I make good use of all of them.
Hi all - thanks for all the responses in the redistribution of the 'bubble books'
joaniemerc got the number (23) spot on but is not going until December so has agreed to wait until we're back to have one of the remaining books sent to her so someone going sooner can have hers now.
second and third are daxllama and Doodlebug - each 6 numbers away...if either cannot fulfill their obligations by Friday (i.e. PM me their address) then if one remains it will go to pebbles...if two remain I have to figure out a tie-breakerDoes remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
<---Very excited
We just booked our honeymoon flights! June 24th we fly to Vegas with BA, then we've some time in Vegas, GC and San Francisco (and places inbetween!) then flying to NY on 9th July, then back home on 12th July. Cannot wait!0 -
OctoberDid our shop at Walmart to bring goodies home, use the one on Eastern at the end of the runway this time, much nearer than going out to Charleston, and picked up this, got to be the best food product I ever brought back.
Yummmmmmmmmm!!!The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Yummmmmmmmmm!!!
!!!
Adding to the list!
Welcome home!
We are thinking we will stop at the Walmart on Eastern on our way from the airport this time...it's a bit of a strategic move - get the coffee maker and some drinks and snacks early and then we're sorted...I cannot guarantee that we will actually do it (I wonder if we will just want to get to the hotel RIGHT NOW...like normal).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Would anyone have a code for Scenic or Grand Canyon Airlines?...I wish to book a South Rim Air/Ground Tour...thx in advance..:)0
