Hi everyone, I'm trying to plan a trip to Las Vegas for next year as a surprise for my OH 30th birthday...just wanting some advice on timing issues please?!

His birthday is in February so originally was going to plan it so that we left for Las Vegas on/around his birthday....after thinking about this, was wondering whether to postpone it until april when the season seems to start and weather is better, but obviously more expensive and not near OH's birthday. What is people's opinion on this? Is it much better to go in april rather than february or will it not make that much difference??

If I'm going to spend all this money, I want it to be the best possible but obviosuly don't want to spend more money unneccessarily! Any help would be much appreciated, thanks! x

It's a bit relative to what you want to do - February unlikely to be pool weather.

Valentines Day can be quite busy and falls on a weekend this year...Super Bowl is early Feb and I think Vegas gets a bit insane then.

We would probably choose April, but would be perfectly happy with Feb - but we don't mind if it's cool.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We have a friend who gets us BA flights through staff hot deals. We wanted to use some miles to upgrade from WT+ to CW (25,000 miles return). So looked at normal price for next March, £1,100, not bad for Premium economy, phoned my mate and he got them for us for £800 each, so for £800 + 25,000 miles we would go Club World return, great!!!!
Went to upgrade the flights and hot deal flights can not be upgraded with miles, only cash, arghhhh! So we end up paying £400 extra to go outbound CW.
What's the saying, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is:o
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Why not March, we have been there plenty of times then and usually get a chance to sunbathe.

Silly question but...........I've just printed out our boarding passes, do we take the whole A4 sheet or cut them across the dotted line prior to airport arrival, cheers.
    It's someone else's fault.

Who are you flying with? Best to take the whole A4 sheet and they will tear at the airport if necessary.
