Crown and Anchor charge an entry fee of, I think, $20pp. I don't think the Queen Vic charges.

The Queen Vic doesn't have a cover charge, but they would expect you to buy a drink. Sitting in the dining area eating brekkie counts and you can sit and watch and munch at the same time.

Watching Spurs last 16 Champions league game in March some Americans were having to get the barman to translate the meaning of comments about the Ref's parentage and personal habits.

My mate is a Gooner and we went down to watch the game, I couldn't bring myself to do so, so went on the pokie machines, hit quads first spin.

There is a sports book tucked around the corner that takes bets on the games as well, allegedly. The couple of times I went there couldn't get a bet on as the guy behind the desk at 7am didn't know what I was talking about.

If you are a gambling person (Vegas!! how could you ask such a question)? William Hill have gotten involved out there, don't know what books they're involved in, it may be that there are more usual bets for UK gamblers available than the very basic bets they have there.

    Hi guys -

I have a couple of spare part used Las Vegas Advisor Member Rewards coupon books I would like to redistribute. Thanks to bubble's kindness, I'm now overwhelmed with vouchers and no way can I make good use of all of them.

So for now I have 2 I'd like to give away...when we're back I will offer up the others which may or may not have a better selection than these two, just depends on what we get up to! :)

Details of which vouchers are left in these two are here:

If you are interested please PM me - just in case there's more than 2 people interested - choose a number between 1 and 50 and I will pick the two closest to the number I am thinking of right now (I swear I am fair about this!).

If you have a preference for book 1 or book 2 - please let me know and will do my best to allocate them...if you are only interested in one of them and not the other, let me know.

will confirm the two recipients early next week so they can send addresses and I'll post them next Saturday (10th).

    Thanks
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

  • Hiya. I know it's boring to watch sport when you're in Vegas but I'll be needing a sports fix. Does anyone know somewhere likely to be showing the Rugby World Cup matches?I'll be out from 10th-17th September.
be warned on Crown and Anchor as has been mentioned re the cover charges. we paid $20 each at 2am in 2005 to watch the Lions Tests

Well spotted, after 30 years I'm only just getting the hang of PCT and GMT.

Double header for me at the end of my 40th birthday celebrations...2am on 23rd Oct is Rugby Final and then 05.30am Manchester Derby. Haven't quite worked out where the sleep will be fitted in. Faint receeding hope that it will be triple header with Absinthe a few hours earlier.

We really fancied seeing Absinthe but sitting outside eating something yummy from Serendipity had a look around , and the blurb saying that the whole thing goes on inside a 9' square ring, couldn't really get excited about it, so we went to Margaritaville and drank cocktails and sang along to "Five o'clock somewhere" instead. Can't wait till October when the Margaritaville casino opens.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Jersey Boys is moving from the Palazzo to Paris, possibly in January, and the Blue Man Group is moving from the Venetian to the Monte Carlo. Barry Manilow will be ending his residency at Paris earlier than planned to accommodate the JB, but no word yet where he will be moving to.

As those who were there can testify,
Hottest August on Record: According to the National Weather Service's records, last month set the record as the hottest August in Las Vegas history, since record-keeping began, with 30 days of triple-digit highs and an average temperature of 105.8, 3.8 degrees above the average temperature for the month.
