November / DecemberSilly question but...........I've just printed out our boarding passes, do we take the whole A4 sheet or cut them across the dotted line prior to airport arrival, cheers.
Take the whole sheet, the bar code will be scanned by staff at the departure gate and they will tear off the bottom part & keep for their records. Sometimes they ask for the info to be filled in on the bottom part, next of kin etc.0 -
January / FebruaryI haven't caught up on this thread i quite a while, since I booked our Vegas trip a few months ago then just sort of forgot about it....:o but now it's approaching (we go early December) I think it's time to start getting excited!!
Anyway I just wondered if anyone has experience of staying at the Vdara. I booked as there was good offer on at the time, even taking into account the $20 per night resort fee, and I like the idea of the hotel being a bit quieter and casino free.
I've just read though, about a $100 per night security fee that they hold from your credit/debit card on check in - can anyone confirm if this is correct? I really can't afford for them to reserve $700 on top of everything else we're paying!! :eek:0 -
March.

Marchjust saw this at the American Casino Guide's current Vegas Values report.
Cosmopolitan: Through September 30, Lose $100 in a Day & It’s On Us - Play your favorites slots in their casino, and if you lose $100 in a day, they will reimburse you with $100 in Identity Play. Just bring your card to the Identity Membership Desk after your loss to receive your $100 in Identity Play. Players can receive $100 reimbursement one time only and the slot loss must be greater than or equal to $100 on that calendar date. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Visit the Identity Membership Desk for more info.
Now, given our experience of losing at Cosmo, this is at least interesting to us...only if we're there and we've lost of course - we wouldn't go into something planning to lose $100 (we're not that daft)...but for us it's worth bearing in mind. We're actually talking about going there, putting $50 each into the kitty and playing together on one card...that way, if it does all go wrong and we lose the $100 - we've only lost $50 each and will at least have another $100 between us to play with.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
hi guys -
i have a couple of spare part used las vegas advisor member rewards coupon books i would like to redistribute. Thanks to bubble's kindness, i'm now overwhelmed with vouchers and no way can i make good use of all of them.
So for now i have 2 i'd like to give away...when we're back i will offer up the others which may or may not have a better selection than these two, just depends on what we get up to!
details of which vouchers are left in these two are here:
http://www.slotgolf.com/vegas/lvamrb1-2.pdf
if you are interested please pm me - just in case there's more than 2 people interested - choose a number between 1 and 50 and i will pick the two closest to the number i am thinking of right now (i swear i am fair about this!).
If you have a preference for book 1 or book 2 - please let me know and will do my best to allocate them...if you are only interested in one of them and not the other, let me know.
Will confirm the two recipients early next week so they can send addresses and i'll post them next saturday (10th).

They have had this offer going all summer. Unlike you, we both went out with a desire to lose $100. If we had won a decent amount we would have stopped and tried again the next day to lose $100 ....but we didn't. Unfortunately we only played our normal games at max lines rather than the big jackpot games with the full bet. If we could re-do it we would play a multi million progressive with our designated $100.
As soon as you lose the $100, it's off to the players desk to get $100 on your card and then 10mins of playing video poker (standard Jacks or better), max bet on a quarter machine you've pretty much guaranteed getting back $90+ and you always have the chance of hitting big.
With your identity credit you can't play the progressive machines so either look at it as getting $200 worth of gambling for $100 or get a nights free gambling through converting back the identity play through VP.
We got $107 and $96 back through VP, so our night of "wild gambling" was for free.
When this offer first came out it stated you could do this once per month ...they soon changed that to a one off promotion.0 -
Anybody over in Vegas now or next 2 weeks who will be visiting a Walmart? I would like an HP Touchpad US power adaptor which I can't get here! ThanksWon

Not sure about the VP thing (I'm terrible at strategy) but that's sort of what we're thinking - in terms of the getting $200 for $100...oh, and hubby had suggested that we hit the $1 WOFs or something for our initial $100 - pushing the boat out of what we might otherwise do and maybe we'll get lucky...and if not, we'll get our $100 back to play more normally.
Are you guys having any luck this trip?
My hubby has been youtubing/researching and looks like there are some cool new slots about - several at Venetian/Palazzo so we're thinking we may designate an evening there.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

AugustIt's pretty standard to have a nightly deposit between $100 and $200/night - some hotels accept less in a cash deposit, some hotels will waive the deposit all together if you don't have rights to charge anything to the room. Probably best to contact the hotel and ask if they allow any alternatives - that way, if they do tell you that they will accept something else instead, you will have something from the hotel to document what you were told when you check in...
The MGM just put a $300 dollar hold on my CC for a 9night stay - i said i didnt plan on charging anything to my room but she said ill put $300 on incase you do.0
