I personally don't think it's quite that soul-less looking...I agree that City Centre is quite yawn-inducing...but this at least looks like it will have some buzz to it? Will be interesting to see what happens with the hotel currently and soon to be formerly known as Imperial Palace...we don't like the place (I know some do, all personal preference) so this may turn that around.

again my issue is that vegas will loose it's history,
They may turn the IP into another 4/5 * hotel with top notch service and decked out like they have hired mr Ikea himself to do it and people will go there.. however they would have lost the history, and individualism of the IP, (however pants it is)
My fav vegas era from when I have been traveling was the early 2000's when you had a mix of so many different hotels and you could almost trace the history of the place just by looking a the different buildings/themes, having the old next to the new.
Vegas will end up with identical hotels all over at this rate with the 3 plasma's in every room and standard decor...unfortunately uniqueness has gone out of fashion

For those you you fans of the Food Channels and love seeing the emergence of the Food Trucks...here is a list of various ones round Vegas and where to find them. I believe they have a Food Truck event near Freemont Street but I'm not sure when and how often.

But where are the apps man, it's all about the apps!!:D
And don't mention the android ones, I have seen them and most are pants.
Anyway it's just a toy to me, I have enough tech to open my own shop.

its quality, not quantity that matters. i have got everything on my android devices i had on my iphone. sky news and sky sports apps are identical. I can control my dreambox remotely from an android app that is free, on my iphone i had to pay for an app to let me do that. Games on my android are as good, some even better (the nvidia tegra chip is very good). oh, and I can watch flash streams and use flash based applications too :p

As a toy/media device then I wil lagree there is not much difference between any tablet device and that is primarily what i use mine for. its a toy for playing games, watching movies and a backup to my iPod (see, i am not totally anti-apple)

Anyway, to bring this post back on topic -

How was the Virgin PE flight? We're going PE in March and wondering if it has changed much for the better/worse? On our vegas flight in June I noticed a distinct lack of quality in the PE service.

    hi there,

Going to be in Las Vegas 30th-1st Sept then travelling to zion from 1st to 3rd back to las vegas on 3rd to fly to san diego.

We want to go and see a cirque show whilst we are there, thinking on the 31st. The cheapest I can find for 2 tickets to see O at Bellagio is $120 ish each, anyone know of any good sites to get a discount?

Or which show do you think is the best to see? Also found mystere for $55 each with a coupon code which seems like a good rate. Any advice would be great, thanks.

It was very good actually. You must get in the bubble though, it makes a world of difference. The IFE is still crap but we use our iPads to watch films and play games. The seats are comfy enough, food was pretty good with drinks service straight after takeoff, followed by dinner, then ice cream later, then a hot pastie, then sandwiches about 1 1/2 hours before we landed. And PE does not run out of booze!! They made an anouncment just after take off that because of limited stocks you could only have one drink at a time and there was the usual anouncment about 6 hours in that they had run out. If you can try and get the exit seats when you get to check in, row 72.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

OK - fair point. I agree that a mix of properties is a better situation and I can see where you're coming from. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

The sites for discounts are listed on page 1. As for which is best to see - it's totally personal preference and you will get as many answers as there are shows, really. O and Mystere are completely different shows and there's a reason that O tickets are more expensive (the theatre itself, not to say that some wouldn't rate Mystere over O - plenty do).
