vegas is really going to loose that special something and end up like any other modern high rise city...

We have a 1 night booking at NY NY, booked through Hotels.com. Can anyone tell me if we will still have to pay a resort fee aswell when we arrive?
Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

Just tried it and booking NY NY through hotels.com there's a note that says:

The following mandatory hotel-imposed fees are charged and collected by the hotel either at check-in or check-out.

    • Resort fee: USD 15.00 per room, per night

    Hotel resort fee inclusions:
    • Internet access in guestroom
    • Phone calls (local)
    • Faxes (limited)
    • Newspaper (daily)
    • Use of fitness center
    • Additional inclusions

The above list may not be comprehensive. Mandatory hotel-imposed fees may not include tax and are subject to change.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I personally don't think it's quite that soul-less looking...I agree that City Centre is quite yawn-inducing...but this at least looks like it will have some buzz to it? Will be interesting to see what happens with the hotel currently and soon to be formerly known as Imperial Palace...we don't like the place (I know some do, all personal preference) so this may turn that around.

Im off to vegas in oct/nov for a conference but as its all paid for by work, they said i could take my better half if i cover her flight... so thats 1 cheap holiday for her even if ill be in a conference for a few days, she can pamper herself in the spa or sit on the fake beach (staying at theHotel, Mandalay Bay).

Last time i went was a few years ago and i stayed in the Hilton, again with work... not the best hotel so im hoping that theHotel will be better... ive heard its pretty nice :) going for a week but the converence is only 3 days so pretty chuffed about that he he :)

Might be a little cool to sit on the fake beach but I'm sure she'll have a great time shopping ;)

Well here's hoping for a bit of a heat wave. i was there in october last time and it was lovely, but i think start of november might be pushing it a bit. was hoping it would be nice enough... while she is by the pool she wont be spending as much as if she is shopping! :rotfl:

  • Yeah more time at the pool could save you a fortune. I have to admit though after living here for 15 years anything below 70 and I'm freezing!! lol
