We were in the bubble of the VS flight and there were only 10 people up there, why Virgin were sticking to try and sell the PE seats for £1,600 each is beyond me.
It's 8am and we are off to the DMV to get my residents ID card, thanks Sarah. Don't all rush at once remember I have a U.S. passport and SS number, that's all I need apparently, and will have the card posted to The Platinum who will send it on to me.
Also my new iPad2 was waiting for me!! £308 for the 16GB.

At first I wasn't sure if you meant the resident's ID card.
Won't that do something weird when you file your US taxes? If you claim to be resident in the UK, but you have a newly-acquired Nevada state resident ID? I think I am just paranoid.
I am still on the fence on the iPad...one day I will snap, I just know...and with a trip coming up it's seeming more like the thing to do...but I have my trusty Creative for in-flight viewing...sad and outdated as it may now be!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
After a couple of months of owning (personally) the Asus TF101, and having ipads (work development tools) I stand by my statement that ipads are poo and the transformer is the nuts. This is my professional, technical opinion and anyone who disagrees (stoneman) is wrong

oooh...thank you for that - something for me to look into at least...I have thought about looking into an alternate, but have been lazy...thus far, we have managed not to buy anything that starts with 'i' and thus far, we have been more than pleased with our alternative (while our 'i' owning friends have had issues with their similar devices)...Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
i've just dumped my iphone for the new galaxy s 2 and that is equally as superior to the offending 'i' equivalent0

AugustI personally don't think it's quite that soul-less looking...I agree that City Centre is quite yawn-inducing...but this at least looks like it will have some buzz to it? Will be interesting to see what happens with the hotel currently and soon to be formerly known as Imperial Palace...we don't like the place (I know some do, all personal preference) so this may turn that around.
It may not be as soul- less looking, but to me it looks like any other city centre entertainment street, that all city centres seem to have these days,all be it with a "big wheel".and as Ratkarth said, Vegas has always been different , but seems it is becoming less so0 -
