And maybe being in their 20's they might not want to go shopping, but experience what parting during the day by a pool with lots and lots of people their own ages is about in Vegas, like no other pool parties you will ever imagine.
Im only 28 been there done that! Although a pool party at circus circus stepping over syringes and empty stella cans is something to be experienced.
To me if I want to party for a weekend I can just pop up to Newquay I just cant see myself spending 1 of my 2 days doing it in vegas. :D

We are foodies rather than gamblers - so this is the focus of our entertainment in the evenings.

I think we will go to Buffet at the Bellagio too - any tips -champagne lunch or dinner?

    Finally, the Cheesecake Factory.
    any advice/tips welcome

Assuming you have a car and are just looking at the food side of things, get away from the strip and go to the Cheescake factory at Henderson. you will walk in rather than the hour + wait for a table at Caesers

The best Vegas buffet by far (IOHO) is at "M" resort, about 20 mins outside of Vegas even beer & wine are included in the price. It has its own micro brewery.
Best tip for the buffets are look round everything before you choose

If you are looking at places like TGI's then we have always found the ones off strip to be far better than on strip. in the same group would also be Outback & Applebees check out their websites for locations & menu

Been looking at doing the Grand canyon Helicopter trip when we go September, has anyone done it recently and have any tips? Whether to book over here or when we arrive? Looked at lots of companies and getting a little lost. We want to fly to west rim, land for lunch and then fly back over the strip,. Looks like the companies that fly from vegas are about the best but I really don't know. They'll be 10 of us, so hoping for a good rate really as we want to see a couple of shows (David copperfield for 1) do you think it's best to book before we go(we're staying at MGM)do you think we'd get it cheaper when we arrive? Sorry for all the questions total Novice!!

Papillon have a good deal on Travelzoo.

We used them a few years back but we were staying at G.C. for 2 nights anyway so slightly different trip. To be honest, the $199 price is about the same as you'd pay at Tix4Tonight and at least you have the peace of mind that it's booked.

Anyone who is flying Virgin between Nov and March next year might want to check their flights, there is a thread on trip advisor and about 1 flight a week has been cancelled between these dates.

Check the links on page 1 for show discounts (including smartervegas.com which is in the hotels section but has show discounts too) - if there's a show we really want to see and we can get a decent discount beforehand, we just do that...saves the faffing around. If we aren't fussed or aren't fussed unless we can get a discount (and can't find one before we go) we may try Tix4Tonight...but I'm not a huge fan of the queuing thing and not knowing what they might have for any given day myself. You can get some good deals that way, but sometimes for a bit more you can have it booked beforehand. That suits us more, but some like the go with the flow approach that Tix4Tonight offers.

If you know what shows you are interested some here may be able to point you in the right direction. A few shows are rarely discounted - many are regularly discounted.

    What about the NYNY Rollercoaster?

Twice. Each time I said I would never do it again. Somewhere I have pictures of the bruises on my back from it...it really throws you around and both times I ended up with a terrible head/neckache.

Some think it's great. I'm obviously just too delicate.

Don't forget to look around for coupons (incuding this one, no idea if there are better deals around now).
