The shocks get my hubby worse than me...I think some on here have found the same trick as him - if you sit down at a machine - whack it with your hand quickly...that gets the shock out of the way. :)
My cure is to whack Tracy on the back of the head before we get to the lift. It still hurts but I get a laugh for my pain!!:D

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

and that also can cause nosebleeds, I carry a saline nasal spray

i would also add in to take some liquid eye drops artifical tears
as you can get very dry eyes due to the dust/traffic/low humidity and constant air con

i was doing so well too...not been on the forum for a few months!!! "off the waggon again..." betta delete the browsing history so i'm not caught on here!!!!

Vegas is the only place we've ever been that we have to break out the saline nasal spray...not everyone has the issue, and we don't every trip but it can get really uncomfortable even if you don't actually end up with a nosebleed.

ratkarth - that reminds me - does anyone who wears disposable daily contacts have any recommendations for eye drops? I usually carry a small bottle of saline (for contacts, not the nose stuff above, I swear)...but it only seems to solve the issue for a short period - it's way, way worse with these than with my old hard contacts - when I never needed eye drops in Vegas. It has caught me out the last 3 trips and I keep meaning to sort that out. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    You may not get shocks.

As I said it affects me very bad, but my wife hardly gets zapped at all.

Do you get any static shocks in the UK ie from lift buttons..I do

Yes, I do - lifts, bannisters, handrails, shopping trolleys mostly... :( I now fear I'll be in for a whale of a time :D

I also have nasal problems generally - am waiting for an appt at the hospital to investigate - so im guessing I can look forward to a week of nosebleeds and electrocution... :rotfl:
