We're doing the reverse trip in Sept and I phoned Netflights who confirmed that there was no one way drop off fee. If you do decide to use them call them to make your booking and they'll let you pay off the cost in installments which have to be paid off in full 8 weeks before you pick up the car. You do not get this option on the website.
Thanks for that - really should have rung them myself to check but I'm too damn lazy (and for some reason a bit phobic about calling companies up even though I have to talk on the phone all day at work)!
Not sure we'd bother with paying by instalments this time as we'd have to pay it off in full in about 6-7 weeks anyway and would lose out on getting 5% cashback by booking over the phone, but that's good to know for future reference if we ever booked a bit further ahead.0 -
MarchHas anyone here ever used Thrifty for car rental, picking up at LAS? I've seen Dollar mentioned a fair bit, but Thrifty not so much.
We've never had any experience with them before but booked via netflights they're coming up as the cheapest I can find for what we're looking for...£255 for a 14 day rental in a full size (Dodge Charger or similar) from LAS to SAN. Just wondering if anyone here has ever had a car from them and how you found them compared to anyone else - better/worse/pretty similar?
We booked with CH3000 picking up at LAX and dropping off at LAS - reservation made in January 2009, so not recent...supplier was Thrifty, when I emailed to ask about one-way fees I was told Thrifty DID charge a $300 one-way fee...I was given the option to switch to Dollar (for £11 more) which didn't have a one-way fee...not saying that what NetFlights have said isn't true...just our experience (admittedly old) was different.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MarchHi All,
Im wanting to go to Vegas in september - never been before so was reading over the thread to get some ideas about where to stay and what to see and do and any value for money places etc!
If everyone could share their advice, that would be great!!
Hi James - you will likely get more and better responses if you tell us a bit more about what you are looking for...have you read the info on the first page? It's a good place to start.
Vegas can be completely different things to different people...it's one of the best things about it...but it's also what makes it almost impossible to make suggestions without a fair bit more information.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Didnt you think you were a bit to high, We are staying there in Aug primarily for a great fountain view for my parents. Checking out all the 300 plus pics on tripadvisor it seems that floors 20 to 25 offer a great view as you are are still looking "at" the fountains rather than directly down on to the top of them if you were higher.
I assume you booked a premium view? did you have any issues at check in regarding getting a fountan/bellagio view
You are right, you do look down on the fountains rather than at them. It was just so amazing being so high and being able to have a much wider view of the Vegas area. I think floors 20 - 25 would be better for your parents though.
We did book a premium view but I emailed them in advance to ask for a high floor with Bellagio view. No issues at all at check-in.0 -
SeptemberThanks Duchy for the replies regards The Orleans. Am totally in two minds now , haha !
Have definitely booked The Cosmopolitan, £490 via Netflights for 4 nights in a Terrace Premium View Room, thought that was a steal (esp as it includes a Fri & Sat night) as I have compared that to booking it direct & via other 3rd party sites such as lowcostusa & hotels.com - in fact the prices are so far out, I cant believe we have got such a good deal ! Happy happy !0 -

I feel the same about my booking at the Cosmo with Netflights, I keep thinking it is a misprice and they will try to change the price etc further down the line0 -
Here's our view from the 67th floor of the Cosmo.0

MayDunno if its illegal, but even hotels over here often state that you are not allowed to consume your own booze.
Really which hotels ? -it's not something I've ever come across -either at independents or chains like Marriott, Hilton, Novotel, Radisson to name a few. Name and shameI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0
