We have a car booked through hertz (10% discount with aa membership, always used Hertz on previous trips to the US) and will go out to the valley of fire, spending time up at the Pinball hall of fame and visiting various In n Out locations in the city (maybe all 9).

Just booked our car with Hertz through the same deal. A lot lower than Carhire3000 and Dollar and what the OP didn't mention was that you get an additional driver for free.

AS POA members, the hall of fame is always on our itinary - lost count of the times we have driven to Vons/ Walmart and had to stop for a quick fix.

What do you want to know about the route? It is LHR-LAS direct;)

    :D *planes ;)

Wonder what the economy seats are like comfort wise, guess I should still take my cushion to sit on.

The balcony was unbelievable. Our room was on the 67th floor and the view over Bellagio were breathtaking. The rooms themselves are fantastic. I though the Palazzo would take some beating but the Cosmo room trumped that.

Also, all the staff we came into contact with were unfailingly polite and helpful. A great all round experience.

Didnt you think you were a bit to high, We are staying there in Aug primarily for a great fountain view for my parents. Checking out all the 300 plus pics on tripadvisor it seems that floors 20 to 25 offer a great view as you are are still looking "at" the fountains rather than directly down on to the top of them if you were higher.

I assume you booked a premium view? did you have any issues at check in regarding getting a fountan/bellagio view

    Go via the AA website

    www.theaa.com/hertz

Stick in your AA number and away you go. Sign up for the Hertz #1 club, copy the CDP code from your AA link and every time you then request a quote it will give the AA discount automatically.

100+ quid cheaper that Dollar, 50 quid cheaper than Carhire3000 and thats with the additional driver vs bog standard (no additional driver/tank of fuel)

If they have any 4-wheeled options, I would seriously consider them...it makes such a massive difference, those 2 extra wheels...

Last week I ordered a cooker on behalf of my mum so I could get the cashback (£12.27) and Tesco points (got a tesco clubcard credit card). Found some vouchers online so she got it cheaper than expected too. Everyone wins! :j
Cashback sites have got to be the best invention since...well, online shopping, I guess! LOL! More money to put in the holiday fund for another trip to Vegas!

We are all law abiding citizens here so would never ever dream of drinking our own alcohol in a Vegas hotel........

    Thanks for the info!

So is it illegal to consume your own in a Vegas hotel?

Dunno if its illegal, but even hotels over here often state that you are not allowed to consume your own booze.

When we stayed at THEhotel we had a bottle of vodka and a bottle of gin sitting on the worktop in the lounge above the fridge. Bottles of coke and tonic in the ice bucket chilling.
It was quite obvious that we were drinking it in our room. Housekeeping came and went and nothing was said.
