I've always looked at people with the four wheeled case and wondered why I've never purchased one! Need to get one next time and give it a go.

Rgearding drinking in your hotel - I've never had a problem having beer in my hotel rooms in Palazzo, Bellagio, Mirage and from someone I spoke to who stayed in the MGM. They wouldnt even know if you got the drinks from a hotel bar..!

Except we buy the beer by the case ;), but as I said its not a problem

Didnt you think you were a bit to high, We are staying there in Aug primarily for a great fountain view for my parents. Checking out all the 300 plus pics on tripadvisor it seems that floors 20 to 25 offer a great view as you are are still looking "at" the fountains rather than directly down on to the top of them if you were higher.

I assume you booked a premium view? did you have any issues at check in regarding getting a fountan/bellagio view

I stayed on the 22nd floor last month and it was perfect. West Tower so very quiet and directly overlooking the fountains (my photos for reference - http://www.flickr.com/photos/angel_ite/sets/72157626530591801/)

They didn't actually have the room we booked when we arrived - we were put in a city room with a crappy view - but we asked to speak to the manager who offered us $100 food credit as an apology. So it worked out ok for us in the end!

Latest code is MEAL but it's only for 60% off as we're still near the start of the month.

You know what though...I just went to have a look and I have a $50 r.com certificate for Mix still lurking around! If your friends can make use of it and it'll get to them in the post before they leave, they're very welcome to it. :)

PM me either your address or theirs if you want it.

Has anyone here ever used Thrifty for car rental, picking up at LAS? I've seen Dollar mentioned a fair bit, but Thrifty not so much.

We've never had any experience with them before but booked via netflights they're coming up as the cheapest I can find for what we're looking for...£255 for a 14 day rental in a full size (Dodge Charger or similar) from LAS to SAN. Just wondering if anyone here has ever had a car from them and how you found them compared to anyone else - better/worse/pretty similar?

Also, reading netflights T&C I don't *think* there will be any one way fee on top of the prices we've been quoted, but if anyone has ever used them and can confirm this to put my mind at rest I would be grateful.

    Vikki

We're doing the reverse trip in Sept and I phoned Netflights who confirmed that there was no one way drop off fee. If you do decide to use them call them to make your booking and they'll let you pay off the cost in installments which have to be paid off in full 8 weeks before you pick up the car. You do not get this option on the website.
