If you're looking for cheap flights/hotel etc, I found

    thomsonworldwide

    w w w . thomsonworldwide. c o m

very good and very competitive. They also offer the virgin flights and also flights with connections from birmingham stopping over in new york which is handy with US Airlines.

Can anyone tell me where the Las Vegas sign is situated? I'm going to Vegas in June for my second time :j, but this time want a photo with the sign :) just wondered whats the best way to find it

any help would be appreciated thanks :)
The sign is South Strip south of Mandalay Bay opposite the helicopter pads. Can't miss it. There is now a place to park in the centre of the road, if walking there is a sidewalk and you just need to dodge the traffic.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Just a quick question regarding teenagers please. Am visiting Vegas with a 16 yr old. What is the score with regards to walking thru a casino with an under 21 yrs? I seem to re call something about you can walk thru as long as you do not stop. Is this right? We dont usually do much gambling anyway when we have been without our daughter, think that the shopping, pools and restaurants will appeal to her tho. Just want to know the score before we go! Many thanks for advice

You are correct, as long as they don't stop you can walk through a casino with youngsters. They are very very hot on it as well.

It's just south of madalay bay can be a little hard to get to without a car

We walked it when staying at mandalay bay and that was managable but any further north and it becomes a bit of a trek on foot.

    thanks guys appreciate the response

Also, just wondered, can anyone recommend driving in vegas?? I'm thinking bout hiring a car, some good prices on carhire 3000 but I'm wondering if there is a catch, do you need additional cover to what the car hire companies offer? Is it easy to get used to driving on the other side of the road??

Also, can anyone recommend some good places to eat by Freemont street?? looking for cheap places for breakfast ??

Just found this link to a WOW photo on Vegasmessageboard

    http://www.gigapan.org/gigapans/76785/

Taken with a £9000 camera from the 61st floor of the Cosmo, play about with the photo and zoom in to see what people are eating lol

You can even see people in the pool at Platinum (maybe stoneman)

my hubby wants one of those cameras, not likely! thats a few trips to vegas for the same money lol :rotfl:

Cheesecake Factory at The Forum Shops at Caesars.

According to googlemaps it is 1.4 miles from MGM to the sign...I suppose it depends on what time of the year - how hot it is - as to whether it would be consiered walkable.

Good places to eat near Fremont Street - we've had the breakfast buffet at Main Street Station a couple of times - very good, and excellent value with a 2-for-1 voucher.

We also like Triple George Grill for dinner, with restaurant.com voucher.
